Renaming pets

We have a question about the renaming of pets, as we can't use numbers ourselves but keep seeing polars with names like 533 or such. Is there a trick or is it another EC advantage over CC?

Rename them in the EC.

Then you run into the character limit that EC has for that field

You can use Pinco's UI (or modify the UI files yourself) to remove the character limit AND get numbers and spaces in names.

Yes, there is an advantage to renaming pets in the EC. The only reason I have EC installed on my computer is so I can put spaces in the pets name lol. I exclusively use the CC unless I need a space in the pets name lol

This is great info. I just downloaded the EC yesterday, but didn't know you can do all that with pet names. Wanted to add spaces to several of my pet names.

Thanks all! And for SouthPaw, you can also keep spaces if you rename from an original name in CC, like "a fire beetle". Such a name can keep both spaces if you edit carefully. But we agree, also need to rename a few pets that lost the spaces long ago!
Still, we wonder why it is not allowed in CC, perhaps something for another fix after the wonderful change of Animal Lore showing caps. Which was for us the only reason to start EC heh.

I always keep the spaces in pets name until I come up with its real name, so I dont have to log in on EC. And Buyers may like it.
