i disagree masively with this statment, you're not really looking for the damage with using magic arrow/ fireball. It's more about disrupted the next spell if you miss the next swing.

I would say that hatchet easily 500m

But all if possible use lighting on weapon, this is probably because mage arrow is better...?, and weapons with lighting cost much more.
And one more, if mag arrow or fireball works, u have a little stuck...
For killing need DMG, but not disrupting the next spell

But if u wont to buy this weapon or similar for 500m I do not mind,
I think that very similar one u can find for the price 100-150m
