60 Parry really enough?

I am getting into the final stages of finishing my samurai and just want to make sure on 60 parrying. The following is what I have in mind for final templet

120 swords
120 Bush
120 Chivalry
100 Anatomy
100 tactics
100 necromance
60 parrying

Would just like to make sure with the experts that played this template or similar template if I'm going the right direction before I pull all my time into it. I just want to get it right. Any and all suggestions are appreciated
Thanks in advance

Hi friend. You are taking 60 parry so you have 300 total in combat skills for mana reduction on special moves.

There are parry calculators you can check for parry chance but the most important thing to remember on a sampire is offence is the best defence, it doesn't matter if you get hit from lack of parrying when you are chaining 200hp armour ignores that heal you up via vampire form, plus confidence, evasion and counter attack. The only thing I can't tank is exodus.

Good luck!

Thank you very much, havent though of it in that way. Just seems I"m having a hard time standing toe to toe with some things I feel i should be able too. But my gear is not the best and I"m not even gm in bushido or Chivalry yet so maybe just need to allow for time trainning

Thank you very much for your input

I run pretty much the same template but I have 80 chiv and run 120 tactics and anatomy. Depending on what I'm fighting I swap out the anatomy for resisting spells.

Not to derail the thread, but, can anybody share some thoughts on, parry vs. resisting spells, on a Sampire?

If my plan comes together I will have tactics at 120 with solder metel and jewls and Anatomy at least 110 ,again with jewls

Thanks for your reply

Best is to Stone between Anatomy and resistent depending on the enemy .

But if I think about it I have the resist in most of the time.

However I have 30 resist / anatomy on jewels

I have fully dropped anatomy for resist spell.
I am too lazy to keep swapping between them using soulstones and the meagre damage bonus anatomy adds doesn't really increase the speed you do a spawn or kill stuff too much.

My 2nd sampire template has 120 anatomy and 100 resist. I dropped parry completely. Without parry, you can run balanced weapons if you wanted to.

Against a monster with 50 resist, the difference in damage is about 25-35dmg per double strike. If you apply Onslaught, then the difference is about 30-40dmg per double strike.

Everyone else's suggestion of replacing anatomy for resist is also a good option. Less damage but it has slightly better chance at surviving a raid since parry can potentially save you from getting dismounted or disarmed. Parry also lets you use evade/counter attack.
