So are the Turkey Vultures... I've spent the better part of this week with my Brother who recently had a Heart Attack... and we went walking almost every day... one of the days we were walking it was 93 degrees out.... I was dying and 2 turkey vultures sat about on a phone pole watching us... one swooped down real low for a good look and we both made jokes about the two of them trying to decide which one of us was going to die on this trail first him or I...She is our resident Red Tailed hawk, occasionally a falcon pops in but they get driven away pretty fast by the hawks. And the Eagle that occasionally make a stop. LOL my little rat terrier almost became eagle poop a couple years back. She was hiding under a log, the eagle patiently waiting on top of the log. I walked down the dirt road and BB saw me and bolted for me, the eagle took off after her, BB stopped between my legs and the eagle flew so close over my head it knocked my hat off. LOL that Eagle make the red tailed hawk look like a sparrow, seriously big bird, more so when its looking like it is going to end up in your face.

But my GOD those things have almost a 6 foot wingspan.... talk about freaking HUGE... They stand over 2.5 foot tall at times as well... so VERY imposing.
On our walks we noted several birds, a really large turtle, a few sightings of Wood Chuck, rabbits, squirrels, and a dead crab that was fairly large... I was rather surprised there were some crab in that little pond area... Watched a pair of Cardinals out on a few hunts to feed their chicks it was pretty interesting...
I liked this guy best. The Spider made my day.
Love that thing! Thank God I have 120 taming *smirk*
