New pet training only gives gains for so much per one monster. I tried paragon cu sidhe to train my cu sidhe 3->4 and it gave me about 11% without power hour before the gains ceased. Maybe the chance to gain gets lower and lower after a certain amount. Wonder how much shadow el gives.
True, but a bit sad they're not universal.Shadow elemental doesn't give much gain for "slot" training pets... They are good for training skills pets
Old school pet training, not the "Animal Training", eh?
Those 45-80 skill critter with the big stats ain't exactly up to much without the Old School Skill training.
Oh please.. it's siege.. we try to get shots off at the tamer while avoiding the pets.

I tried to tame a phoenix the other day. Even redlined, the thing kept kicking my bootie! I had lured it away from all other spawn, into the empty passage near the shrine. That ankh saw a lot of action for an hour before I gave up!Just wait till phoenixes start showing up.
I think what I love most about the pet training revamp is that there can now be such fantastic variety in pets without sacrificing what could be accomplished with a GD. I can't wait to see people running from a bird!
Well it will be one way to deal with pvpers at events till they get nerfed.

Pets are already pretty much castrated in PvP if they find something to cry about now then they are just really bad at UO
Try honor taming it and youll find it much easier to do I think

Fortunatley They is a tile to my zento hub in Vics house and it is close to the healer. And since my corpse was pretty much on Vics porch it was a easy stealth retrieval........ They side track you whether you expect them to or not. Somewhere out on the Ocean North of the Wolf house there is a Crimson Dragon Dolphin zipping around faster than any ship in UO will ever move. I was thankfully on my big Brit Ship and moving and had to to hide as I passed by it. and didn't get notices.
Can you hit it with cannons?

Fighting big mean critters from a ship is not a solo Tyrath thing to do I Hide haul backside from things like Dolphin CDs
