Approaching players not showing up AGAIN

What is going on? I checked and unchecked and then checked the box in options to show approaching players, but players and animals (snakes, scorpions, crystal eles, etc...) aren't showing up again. Anybody have any solutions or thoughts? @Bleak @Kyronix

Yep same problem here. Approaching names works in 800x600 resolution but anything higher than that and they stop showing up.

So it sounds like we get bigger screens, and then we can't really use them. Par for the course these days!

What i dont get is that you can set your screen size to any size you like via a 3rd party program and you been able to do this for years and years, and it works great, no problems at all. The UO team try to do it legally within the UO client and bang everything goes to a pile of dung .

yeah that's also what I never understood. I mean all they would have needed to do was look at one of those 3rd party programs and see how they do it.

By the way ever since server up today I believe it is working correctly again for me. At least monster names will appear when approaching. Didn't pay attention to players...

I noticed that whenever a corpse switched from private looting rights to public looting rights its name pops up on the screen.

It looks like it is fixed, approaching names is showing up in the 1152x964
