very strange metunkinl 1700/1800 bods would have popped the star on quite shards alone,,,bear in mond most quite shards today are 100 players top...oh well...

Smalls, but even 1000 of them didn't bump the tree from charlie brown to stage 3. The 1700 were all during stage 4, and I'm pretty sure the t-bods were being upgraded as needed, and used to fill LBODs when possible.

Banked points are the only points that matter. Most SBODs give .2-1 point maximum. So you would need many thousands of them. LBODS give between 20-50 points, so you need less. Anecdotally, I have heard its about 280 colored LBODS to advance the tree to L5, give or take some (possibly many) for point variation.

Filling SBODS to turn in is like trying to bail out a sinking ship with a teaspoon, only useful once the "leak" is fixed.

Changes for the next Artisan Festival, should there be one:

• Tree build up time remains 3 days
• Fourth day is the last tree's presents AND the start of the next tree. ("cool-down day" is removed completely as it is unnecessary and annoying)
  • This will give each city a chance, instead of cutting off at Vesper on nearly every shard.
  • Allow 9 trees total, 1 concrete chance for each city. Repeats only if a city is skipped.
• Present bags remain throughout the festival once the associated tree is over, only disappearing if the city repeats or the festival ends.
• The elves be given a keyword that either gives a concrete X out of X until next level bark, or vaguer messages about needing "a ton, "a lot," "some," or "a few" more BODS.
• The elves should bark in general chat when someone advances the tree into the next level, they deserve props. ex: "Ho! Ho! Ho! PlayerX has advanced the YCity Artisan Festival tree to LevelZ! Huzzah!" AND repeatedly (every 15 mins?) when the tree reaches L5.
• EM/GM/Dev placed decorations expire Jan. 1st/2nd, not Dec. 24th. (Grinches are bad, m'kay?)

oh and differnt gifts and different style boxes if it does happen again....which it should...but id like to see a week or 6 days ....not 3 days...too short time for busy family folks at xmas time that maybe have 1-2 hours tops to spare .. 3 days is crazy fast...lets be honest 4 maybe 5 trees top would be more than enough

I'd suggest:

• Start all trees at the beginning of the month, and allow them to grow until the 24th.
• Definitely need some more granular info than just the stage of the tree.
• Smalls should count for more than just bank points; it takes many many hours to fill 1 or 2k smalls... and as said above, they seem pointless to the goal. If the goal is to help remove some of the BODs that are flooding the servers, you definitely want to get rid of as many smalls as possible, right?
• Put some unique reward in the mix for each city - give a reason to do them all.

If the goal is to help remove some of the BODs that are flooding the servers, you definitely want to get rid of as many smalls as possible, right?

Just increase banking points for small from 0.02% to 0.05%. It's not a mega changes but will help a little.

This way the increase will be:
Normal 10 irom sbod value 10 goes from 0.2 to 0.5 point
Exp 20 Spined sbod value 200 goes from 4.0 to 10 point
Exp 15 iron sbod value 225 goes from 4.5 to 11.25 point
Normal 20 copper sbod value 350 goes from 7.0 to 17.25 point

It's sure not only sbod that get removed from the servers, a lot old piles of resources get removed too together with a lot of gold.

I like the idea of starting all the trees Dec 1th as it will help building communities around the towns and give the Governors something to fight for. There could be an extra gift to the citizen of the town if they finish their tree first.

I just wish the Devs would clue everybody in as too whether it will end on January 1st in "mid stream" on Vesper, or if it will continue until Yew has been completed! @Mesanna @Kyronix @Bleak

There is technically about 1 hour and 56 minutes left in the Festival A few shards have skipped cities due to lack of funds, and I know one shard had cycled back to Britain already.

The present bag pops up about 40ish minutes after server up on the 4th day in a city. I don't expect Vesper to get a bag on the 1st, but this is an instance where I hope I'm wrong.
