Grass, Snow, Sand

We fall thru the Grass, Snow and Sand tiles. We've been waiting for a while for this to be fixed. On your client it looks like you're on top of the tile but to everyone else they see that you actually fall thru the floor tile. We tested with the new sand hoping it was fixed but it looks like the problem is still there. We need these tiles to be solid so you don't fall thru.

This would also fix the need to have goza mats or stone pavers below them and cut down on lag.

Also the sand tiles that I've seen on the 2D client look very blurry.

They are blurry... like they are zoomed way in or something.

As noted in another thread, in the EC they're the sand textures use on slopes/dunes. NOT what is used the flat portions. They just need to rekey tile numbers. @Kyronix

Rekey what tile number? Not sure I know what you are trying to say...

Terrain != tileart in either client. In situations where tileart is available that matches terrain, it was copied using the terrain as reference at some point in the near or distant past. With the exception of transition tiles or variations within a terrain tile set, the position of the terrain tile on the underlying terrain geometry doesn't change the base terrain texture, only tries to add shadows to show depth and such. We'll have another look at the tiles to see if there is an issue. Thanks.

I wish I could give you the tile numbers... but all 4 of the sand tiles use art that looks fuzzy and zoomed in... it does not match the actual flat sand like you would find on the beaches or in the desert area's.

It's a graphical glitch, it also happens with a platform I made out of rubble sandstone blocks. On my client it appears the character is on top, to another client it appears I'm on the lower z axis clipping through the blocks.

Here is the picture I took the other day of the differences in the sand tiles in the CC:

The first picture is of the sand tile hovered over a flat sand area. The second picture is the same sand tile hovered over a sand dune, or slope right next to it.

And while I'm at it, can we just get some regular dirt tiles?

you really like that dark sand on the ground instead of the nice light color from the cliff?

I'll take the cliff sand any day
