Put saltpeter on every alchemist in the game.
Let us recall to the Sea Market.
Rip out all the pointless crafting steps like potash and charcoal.
There is literally zero fuse cord for sale on Atlantic. Which isn't surprising. I mean have you SEEN what it takes just to make a fuse? It's literally easier to make a robot golem to kill your enemies than it is to make a fuse, since golems were added to the game before it took on this miserable stance that crafting needs to be as annoying as possible.
Seriously HS was pretty much ground zero for this attitude of "Pointless busywork will increase player engagement, whoops this content coincidentally died for no reason!" that has plagued the game ever since. I know Cal recognized the mistake to at least some extent and wanted to streamline things, or so he said, but then he hit the bricks and it never happened.
High Seas content is kinda interesting, or at least different enough to give the game some variety. Just let us bloody DO IT without jumping through utterly pointless hoops.
"WELL SPOCK YOU CAN JUST GET A DEDICATED CRAFTER TO DO IT..."
Yes, I can, and I did. She's sitting next to me at the bank ranting about how stupid the crafting was as I type this.
