Thanks for the advice of the community for this guys; I've decided to auction one. The discussion of them can be seen here... [Price Check] - Grand Champion Jhelom Pitfights January 2010 This auction is for only 1 of the 3 tunics.

Ultimately, we think it is from a team battle, possibly on Legends or even Europa. Usually, these were given out to either 2, 3, or 4 man teams as far as I can research. With this, I think there are only 3.... but I don't think anyone can verify that...

Ugh... such a hard piece to bid on. It is definitely neat for sure, but it's a huge gamble. It is not in any rares database and no documentation anywhere of this being given out. I would feel safer if you had only one, but you alone have 3 of em which is rare for "Grand champion" items as usually only one is given out.... so hoping for not a dupe and a 3v3 tourney? But even then the other 2 gave up their prize to one person?

I know Legends had tons of Jhelom duels in the pits almost weekly as I participated in many of em, and weekly items given out...

That being said.... I bid 100 million....I guess... lol?

Aye... we couldn't find data for it anywhere and it's not in Brian's lists too. Someone is trying to nail down more information on it, and maybe they will make that available if it becomes available before Saturday. I was extremely hesitant to auction it for even 100m if that makes you feel better... if it doesn't go for much I'll smack myself later. Good luck and good bidding everyone.

Aye, that's what I am thinking.... only none of us could find it for certain. It's basically exactly the same, even the durability is similar. I'm hoping it's a 3/3 unique item though because I have all 3 if so. Ty for linking that for everyone S_S.

These all came from a single Idoc (keep) about 1.5 to 2 years ago bro... I don't remember what keep, but they were just in a chest with 5-6 white/blue lamp posts and a leafeblade of ease crafted by Saibara Ricko named "Webbed waddle quack attack !!" and a pink bones (from Halloween) named My Loved Pet's Bones, if that helps you guys any. I don't remember the keep or anything, but that could be 1 or 2 of that character's names for that guy (but could not be as well.) Peace guys.

I don't really know how to do this.... b/c I've already gotten a b/o offer for 250m via pm for this 1 tunic and turned it down (he wanted all 3 but did not bid 250 each, that was just for this 1)..... With that being said, I know you guys are wanting all 3 (all of you guys pm'ed me for all 3, lol.) Since we now kind of know and such.... if it's alright I'd like to set a b/o of 350m on this 1 tunic. [And I will sell each for that also if someone wants all 3... with maybe a 50m discount, say 1p for all 3.] I don't know if that's good or not guys.... I just want to be fair kind of b/c I already had that offer for this one. And if no b/o, the auction is still for just this 1 tunic guys, and not all 3. @Polaris75 Well that is a little disappointing.... You should have left it at an auction as you probably would have gotten more gold. If it was already at 250 million with a WAYS to go b4 end of auction, and buyout was only at 350.....

Also, sucks for the people like myself who marked the auction in their phone calendar and were watching bids but then go to sleep and wake up to go to stratics and find you randomly changed your original post to include a buyout and sold it.....? Wow

I feel you man... and I wanted more too, trust me. I was hoping for 2 platinum.... But I don't think anyone would have bid much more had Chanel not did the research on it, as the 2011 one stayed up for sell a whole week and about 200m was offered that I know of. The highest b/o offer I had received was 250m... and I didn't figure anyone else would go over that since that was just one person and no other offers came in even close to that... plus 350m each was kind of a reward for finding out what the item was for sure... b/c a lot of people were skeptical of the rarity and everything, as was I. I thought I had messed up by even making it an auction.... but I did put in the original post that I would be open to a buyout..... it's just that aside from that 250m buyout offer..... only a few 50, 75's, and 100m offers came in even. I figured 400-500 would be asking too much for each.... I didn't want to be considered a "price gouger" by no means... and tried to reply to everyone speedily every time. Alas.... that is why I don't sell items.... lol. I spent about 15 hours this week focusing on selling this item.... and everyone including myself didn't think it was gonna go for much. I set was I thought was a fair deal for all 3 and messaged everyone of you guys before Chanel.... and I got the first Icq asking my price and they said done..... so it was done. :***( I am sorry, it's a sweet item I know. I wanted one myself... but everyone wanted all 3 even; so I tried to be as fair as I could.

Sorry. I disagree, and that was a bad move. I tried to keep this in a private message, but it is what it is bud. I EASILY would have went 500 million on just one. You set a long end time on the auction, so of course any buyer is not going to WORK to bid up the price. Everyone is setting clock/calendar until that last day and hoping it stays low. The last day is when all the movement happens. I guarantee you I did more research than anyone. I was the one that got Brian involved. Looked at every respected Database online. I went as far to contact multiple EMs. The research Chanel found out was not different than any of us? We had already known they were from Legends and a team fight? Your bleeding heart got the best of you. If I spent the time on the research, isin't that an advantage for me? Why would I share it if it was already set for auction. Anyone that starts sending ICQs or PMs rushing to do buyouts when the auction is not set for a buyout, it is because they know what it is worth and trying to undercut the price and get a huge steal..... especially when they can read threads and see hesitation or lack of knowledge on sellers part. I see it TIME and TIME and TIME again. I think you were on par to easily get your 1.5 billion..... if not more. And if it doesn't sell for your asking price....guess what? You can always post another auction later and lower the reserve.... that is what a reserve is for. I have had plenty of stuff that has not sold. And I was sleeping and wake up in less than 24 hours to see the auction of 1 has now went to a buyout of all 3?

Smart thing would have been to set a time rolling buyout where someone can buy it out once everyone had 24-48 hours to catch up. Guess bad move on my part sleeping.... Sorry bud, lost a future customer on this one.

I got the bid going at 100 million to start it off... not being cheap. Why throw out an outrageous bid at the start of an auction? Not sure I have ever seen anyone on stratics do this. No one is ranting anymore.... I don't think Jason- or myself knew after his first post if there was a buyout on 1 or on all 3 from his type. It is clear now.

I did correct the shard from the original post from Europa to Legends, but agreed, anyone could have posted that research. Legends just happens to be my home shard, so I knew where they were from right off the bat. I was at the event!

Just to clarify, the OP ICQed me this morning to tell me he added a buyout at 1p. I didn't contact him. I simply replied that I would accept the buyout. So a comment about seeing him coming a mile away mischaracterizes my intentions. I didn't predatorily manipulate the situation, so the seller would sell to me below market. I never even offered a price range - just an initial offer.

But I get the situation, as I've been in the reverse before. For those of you that are disappointed, I agree, this wasn't the most well-planned auction. Because of that, I'll sell two of the three tunics to the other interested parties for the OPs single-tunic buyout price. ICQ me: 613414847

I did follow my own rules... I was open to a buyout I wrote. I didn't even want to sell these.... I have just been out of gold for about 1-2...10-11 months and I wanted some gold to buy stuff and play the game with my wife.... so I sold the best item(s) we had. It hurt me to do it too.... I missed out on it too now, technically.... just like I miss out on marble tables and phoenix suits and everything else. It happens... but we still play. Don't be so hard on people; we've all had the best of intentions. Thanks @Chanel #1 for sharing / helping. Peace all and please enjoy decorating them the way I did...

Technically... I wouldn't mind asking for one back. I did not know really that it was an option to sell 1 or even 2 to @Chanel #1 .... I thought his bidding was only valid for all 3. And I don't like negotiating.... obviously.... I was hoping the bidding would do that for me but it didn't. If I could have sold 2... and kept one of my two year memory items... I would have just sold 2 for 700m.... it doesn't take much gold for me to get by. But I know nobody would sell back to me for 350m........ I had to edit this severely after reading the moderation rules and realizing I was hurting the community. In short... don't be surprised if I quit over this. I spent all day crying already and just woke up about an hour ago...

You guys got it all cheap I guess... thanks guys for the bids. *Thumbs up* (Not angry at you at all Jason or especially Chenel, thanks for our deal..... it was awesome and my wife was smiling when I gave her 500m.... but this just burns me up though and I really can't take it. The exact same thing happened on the last item I auctioned.... a pvp ring worth about 1.5p that I ended up selling for 700m because the other guy who wanted it gave me a 100m take it tonight or never offer the night before. Then he bid 1.1p the next day..... nope.) Mentioning no names there.. and that did not happen here... but the end result feels the same. I'm the type of guy who has sold 5 Atlantic Mesanna masks as a set for 150m before.... and then gotten yelled at in r/l for selling so cheap... and then asking for 175m and getting told that I said 150m, I should honor my message (in gen chat; when they are clearly worth 300-400m).... so I take the 150m. I have honor a little.... I just don't like selling. I like getting things the cheapest too.... it's funny how some always end up on the short end though.. That was the greatest item I had and I didn't even know it I don't guess. I didn't think anyone was even going to bid on it is what was sad........ my bleeding heart, as Happy Meal said...... that's about right. Thanks for bidding all.... enjoyed the auction... Ok guys, this went a bit out of control. I've received multiple messages showing interest in these tunics. Unfortunately, there are more than two people that expressed interest (including the OP), and as I can't cut up the tunics, I'm going to re-auction two of them.

@Polaris75, just some gentle guidance if I may: You went from posting an inquiry to posting an auction then changing the rules of the auction then pinging players about the buyout of the auction rather quickly. There are a lot of people on this forum that know A LOT about rare and unusual items. For those that know who I am, know I'm one of them. But I'm by no means even close to as much of an expert as many other forum members. If I find something that I can't personally appraise, I'll either post on here or ping a few people to get an estimate. If you get three estimates and take the average, that's going to be a pretty good starting point (If you had asked me, I would have said the tunics are worth ~500m each).

Anyway, I know there were mistakes made here, and I'm sorry if you feel cheated. I know the feeling and It happens to all of us at one time or another. But, there will always be another IDOC with another random awesome item. My suggestion, get a few price checks first, start the auction low, and if you add a buyout, make it higher than your highest appraisal and keep the auction consistent.

Here are the people I always go to for price checks (in no particular order):

• Nails Warstein - Probably the top rares broker in the game
• Manticore - Maintains this sub-forum and is considered one of the foremost authorities of rares
• BrianFreud - Is building a database of rares, and has likely seen more collections than anyone
• Decadence - Doesn't play much anymore, but is a prolific rares broker
• Pampa DH - High-end rares trader
• Clops - Also a high-end rares trader
