I hope Bennu will consider this time of the day.

I would also like a link to this info.
I looked at UO.com, no info, and EM Hawker is still listed as Sieges EM
Then I looked on UO Atlantic, EM Bennu was posting there in the past but not the last year.
I saw no link to any webpage.
I also looked at the EM Hall at Brit moongate, no info as far I could see.

Ya a Friday or Saturday works best for most of these folks here. Most of the Events during EM Hawker time were around 2pm CT. (USA).

I will reevaluate the event time at the end of the summer once I get my bearings on Siege. As a father of 4, I can be fairly certain that I will never do a friday, saturday or sunday afternoon CT.

I have to disagree. This is crap! Better no EM than an EM that ignores the players. This is frustrating as it excludes so many players. As a father of 4... Well...

LOL. Monday is great for me, it's one of my days off.
I can never attend any of the events ( Player or EM) as I work Saturdays.

His time on Monday for me in the USA is 4PM. I don't get off work till 5 sometimes 6 would never be able to attend maybe the tale end.

I also work 10 hour shifts so I never get home before 5 either.
I have just dealt with this. You all have your set ways and things you do on certain day and times.
I am just grateful that GIL auction switch between Saturdays and Sundays or I'd never be able to attend any of those either.
Not complaining - just saying it would be nice to attend sometimes

Maybe two EMs for Siege would be a solution. One for European times, the other one for US times...

But let's not get too fixated on these EM events people. I mean, what are they usually? Run from A to B, look for X, kill this big monster and hope to get a drop. Finished. While it's nice to have, it's most definately not a must-attend. I like the player run events better.

Absolutely right, Max! I quit EM events on prodo because of their dullness. But I really liked how Hawker handled them here. So, I am still a bit sad. My wife loved those events. It's just a question of fairness to me. Americans get all the good stuff, including 90 % of the Idocs, which fall in the night of Europe. Are their bucks worth more than mine? Frustrating. But I get over it

Being an EM on Siege is not easy. It is very hard to find a time, not already used for player events as we really only have the weekends, where all have a chance to be there.
Second the shard is very different from Prodo shards and an event, that will make on Prodo may need some work before it fit Siege.

We had had some good EM's over the years. The 3 I remember best is Aurora, Troubadour and Hawker, who all 3 did great here.
EM Bennu do have a lot respect on Atlantic, so let us give him a chance, but I agree with Max, if we can't have an EM of our own, it may be better with 2-3 EM's from other shards, working together here and maybe run same event both in EU and US time or sometimes in EU time and sometimes in US time.

What is important to me is, they respect the different ruleset and can handle if a friendly fight should happen at the event. I still remember Auroras Olympics Event, where she had to make time for fights between the parts of the event.

I fear it is not easy to find an EM for you, special if he/she can't play here too.

Em Bennu: Charlotte I am open to that. I have been asked to do one event a month on Siege in addition to my duties on Atlantic. I am actually pretty excited about it and plan on augmenting that with in game RP and impromptu mini-events, I think I will be able to focus much more on a fiction rich atmosphere. It will be a major adjustment. I may alternate event times, 2pm CT for one event, 7pm CT for the next one. That sort of thing, if I did that it would be harder to do an overall fiction arc, the events would be much more compartmentalized. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing either.

Even I hate that facebook is being used by EM's, but there is a lot of behind the scene fighting with stratics and it was being boycotted by the EM's. I believe this is why they started making facebook pages. There are many of us with facebook pages that find it easy enough to copy over to stratics. I think as long as we know where his posts are and they are consistently in one spot, why should it matter?

Ya I can see this will be a problem for sure. Maybe get a Citizen of Yew as your Second to attend the meetings for you, whom ever it is can pass your words on as well as take notes for you? Others have done this before on other shards, and you could try it here.

I am a big fan of irony. I just enjoyed those events and it makes me a bit sad that my wife and I cannot attend them. Sorry for me being drama-queen.

Overall I think we will be ok. EM Bennu is not new to his duties and has done a fair share of Felucca events on Atlantic. He is an old player that been around a lot and knows a very large amount of the history and lore of this game. I was chatting with him on Atlantic after an event there about old times and other shards, he knew an old seer that I had know on Lake Superior back then. I could barely remember any of that as it had been so long ago, but he rattle off names that brought it all back to me, names I had long forgotten, but as soon as he spoke that name on screen it flash in my mind like yesterday.

So I think we will be ok. We all just need to adjust to each other. I am looking forward to this first meeting and wonder if Vixen should attend, or send my Second, Kimi Mori.

Don't get me wrong. I am all for EMs on Siege. I would nominate Siege as an EM training shard. If it can go wrong it will... Siege folk generally have a sense of humor.
