Why would mages need SSI? I believe the was the old town, that did fall, it sure was for the faction of mages, I believe the towns now are effected of the virtue and the anti virtue not to forget.

I think this fit better;
Depending on whom and when you ask, the city represents the Virtue of Humility or the Sin of Pride (Humility's evil opposite).

The Governor of New Magincia seem to fit the virtue of the town well and the anti virtue too *Evil Grin* Sorry Morgan, could not resist, but I find it funny

If elected, Lyssa will be looking to the citizens of Minoc for input as to which trade deal to run. It needs to be that which benefits her citizens the most.

Don't look to the citizens for advice..they will be electing you into that position to "Lead". Listen to them, sure, but start the idea off and then ask for input.

I'd like to see the future governors make daily, weekly or monthly changes to the trade deals based off of what's currently happening on the shard. If an event was coming up that needed......let's say faster melee attacks, the governor(s) should be communicating with the citizens that trade deals have been changed for the upcoming blah blah blah so that You the citizens can blah blah blah.....we need way more interaction between the governors and citizenry than just a monthly meeting where the same scripted crap is repeated. Someone made a post recently that said the Gov's were supposed to be RP'n their characters. I'd like to see more of that too. Will it happen ? *shrug*

not to sounds like a dope, but it was very clear he/she is TDO, by the first post. That would be the large guild he/she are in. That's great that you need to get them to come play siege. So the Bo was right another prodo player here for 5 minutes will beat hugi again. Hugi didnt attend every meeting, hell neither did the king! RL happens especially on sunday afternoons for the working man. That is why the time should be changed to later during that day.

Bo I do remember the guy, who did run against you and then never showed, it was very sad to see. I also knew and you and I had an issue at that time, about what was good for Siege and I supported that guy. I understand how you feel.

That's not the case this time, our issue is long gone. My members are free to run for what town they want. You had not been a lot active the last months on Siege or you had been on at other time than me. There are only 8 towns and more will run for same towns.

Yes TDO may be a large guild, but we have several we want to support, so Kelmo is right, our votes are splitted, I personly want to support Lyssa as I don't believe GIL should sit in Minoc. Then I want to support Starcon to get a TDO governor and now we also have Doc who run for yew.

You are a long time member of the shard, so I believe you should have a fair chance vs a young TDO.

I am a firm believer that a crafter should hold the Office of Governor of Minoc, that is why I worked very hard to get Vixen ready, she is GM in 4 skills, working on #5 and is also working to hit 120 caps on two skills, tailoring and imbuing, just because Vixen is a member of GIL should not hold people from voting for a true Minoc Citizen, a crafter.

Sacrifice is the Courage to give oneself in the name of love. Lyssa has done just that. She could have taken the easy road, sided with King Blackthorn even though she believes there is only one true king and he is not it. She could have stayed out of the fights, stayed safely working in a career but she chose to put her reputation, her status, her life and her unwavering belief behind the people who are being wrongly labeled as "not virtuous". She did not have to take up the bow, learn to fight and defend the towns to the death if necessary, she could fight the war with words but Lyssa believes in giving oneself, all of oneself, to the cause of the common people. Lyssa is the definition of sacrifice.

OoC: However the election goes we can make this a good RP opportunity. Stir up a little (in the spirit of fun) rivalry, tension as long as everyone remembers this is only a game.

No disrespect to Dersim Alevista. I have always liked governor Morgan Ironfist for the consistent SSI deal in New Magincia. I will move my toons accordingly to the cities that fit my needs. I really do not like cities that change trade deals from one week to the next. Also it's nice to know he has been around and will be around in the future.
