Template Help

What is a good Mage/Archer template including how to set stats? All help welcome! Thank You!

My suggestion would be to ask on the spellcaster forum. Is it for PvP or PvM? It's going to be an expensive template. You have three Stats to focus on, unless your just using archery for your opening for dismount and Mana dump.

Generalist Template:
120 Archery
90 Tactics (allows for weapon specials)
110 Magery
110 Eval
100 Med
100 Resist

125 Str/ 125 Int/ 10 Dex add as much Dex and Stamina increase items to your gear. Get as much SSI items as you can to.

Modify the template as you need to fit your play style.

Thank you! It is more for pvm playing. I really just wanted something different to play. Getting a little bored with just the usual chiv/archer etc. Think I will give this a go and if I don't like it I can always start over.

I wouldn't do mage/archer for PVM. If you want to do a hybrid PvM char w/ archery, I'd do Mystic. That way you can get a nice heal, rising's, and AOE's. All w/o having to have all the extra skills.
How you set your stats up depends on your suit, and if you get weapons w/ Spell Channeling, and Swing Speed.

I'd reccomend skills to be at:
120 Archery
120 Tactics
120 Anatomy
120 Mystic
120 Focus
120 Resist

This way you have MAX hci, max damage, max meditation, and max spell damage w/ your spells.
I'd also set base stats roughly to:
100 Str
125 Int
35 Dex

And hope to get armor and jewls that give you DEX, STAM and Mana. Remember potions are your friend, even in PvM. w/o any EP you'll get 15-18 more Str and Dex.

Of course, you could forgo the mage and myst and go with a necro archer. that way you don't need spell channeling and you can wraith form/mana leech bosses.

Something like:
120 arch
120 spirit speak
100 tactics
100 anat
100 heal
100 necro
80+ resist

from there i'd push the stats more towards the dexxer side with higher dex and slightly lower mana...

120 str
100 dex
40 int (with muchos mana on suit)

so if you could myst it up with enough necro/ss for a whammy..... could you have a colous and AI in wraith form??? that would be a solo killing wrecking crew!!!!

resist would probably be out the window completely tho...

Another option to consider would be throwing instead of Archery. The positive would be no Ammo to carry, Throwing power scrolls are dirt cheap, and so are the Mastery books. Down side is there are not as many SSI items for Gargoyles.

It's possible if you just want wraith form. All you need is just enough Necro on jewelry to casf wraith or be human. The only other thing you need is 100 Spirit Speak for mana drain.

120 Archery or Throwing
120 TAC
120 Mystic
120 Focus
120 SS
120 Res or 120 Ana

Wow thanks for all the ideas! I several accounts so maybe I will try them all Think though I will try the mysticism or necro first simply because I already have both skills on soul stones and would not require a lot of training.
