When did Blackthorn become King?

Does anyone have a link to story behind Blackthorn becoming King? Last I new he was a cyborg/robot thing that got killed.

I need to get caught up on the fiction. So, I don't stick my RP boot in my mouth, like at the Governors meeting.

Crowned Oct 7, 2012 on Atlantic and I assume at about the same time on all other shards. The Devs put the whole EM team on writing the fiction for it...

I've been reading the fiction. Queen Dawn was corinated by the Royal Council. In Blackthorn fiction it doesn't say anything about the Royal Council cornitating him, or Lord British passing the crown to him. Correct me if I'm wrong here. So, it's basically Blackthorn crowning himself with the support of Dupre then?

If my memory serves me correctly I think Lord British did pass the crown to him in game, along with the rest of the Dev team.. but my brain could be playing tricks on me. I do remember well that when Blackthorn was crowned Starr Long (the original team member who played him) was at the keyboard playing him. That was a nice throwback imo.

Yeah, my mind was playing tricks on me lol.. it was running UO and RL together yet again LOL... The Devs actually had an anniversary meeting (15th I believe it was) and Starr Long was crowned king at that meeting. Then the coronation reenactments happened on the shards.

So, for RP purposes we could have a rebellion then. Those that support LB, and not Blackthorn.

I take it that both Luna & Umbra are cities outside of Blackthorn's control. Is there any RP or fictional bodies of government their? Just trying to figure an RP angle to play or fit some characters in?
