Honesty items

im running out of places to look for honesty items.
anyone have a 'go to place' to find them?

usually i find a lot on moonglow island (both sides) and haven (ocllo) but i seem to have drained the tank and cant find anymore.

ive run from yew all the way down the coast and back up to trinsic and ive hit all the islands and i cant seem to find anything items.

either she re-spawn rate is crazy slow or they are all spawning in some strange place that i cant find.

anyone else work up to knight have any suggestions for those of us still slogging away?

I gave up. Tired for about 5 hours and could not find a single item anywhere. Realized my quest to get Knight in all virtues will not be complete until they come out with some kinda "Honesty Tonic" along the lines of "Compassion Sage"

compassion at least you know you do 5 and you have to wait 24 hours.
the honesty items seem to be really strange in their spawn rate.
2 nights ago i hit moonglow island tram and fel side, got like 16 items.
went there yesterday and today - not one item.
yesterday i went to haven and ocllo and got 14-16 items, went there today, nothing.

it almost seems like the stuff is on a insanely slow respawn.
id hate to be doing this at the same time as someone else!

also, ive noticed a LOT of yellow nobles and peasants while im out returning items, which should mean that for every one of them there should be a item out in the wilds, yet im not seeing them.

like i said, very strange.
ah well, ill keep picking away at it, only one more tier to go.

Those are all the places I hit as well Poo. Moonglow..ALL the way around the shoreline on both facets, New Mag usually right around the gate area though on Origin it's a bit hard fel side due to all the debris left there from the destruction.

Usually just doing Moonglow and Mag on both facets nets me 9-13 lost items.


I just do those 2 areas now to keep Knight, as you can see I have to work on the rest :/ lol

The lost items are easiest to find along the shorelines of pretty much every coast. I'd suggest you check fire island regularly as well. But they can spawn aboveground just about anywhere that isn't in a guard zone.

The respawn rate seriously leaves something to be desired, and has been complained about since Honesty was on TC1...a lot by me If you're competing with someone else working honesty at the same time you are, I'd suggest a valium or a stiff drink. Maybe both...

Law of averages tells me that if everyone spends all their time running around the coasts scouring them for items and they pick them up turn them in and a new one randomly spawns somewhere (the reason many are on coasts in the first place would be if the spot they are to spawn at turns out to be ocean then the item appears on the nearest shore)....

So law of averages says if more and more and more get done and turned in from items on the shore eventually the only items left to be found eventually will be away from the shores.

to be honest i have yet to find a item not on the shoreline.

well, maybe what ill do instead of trying to powergame this is give it a day or 2 between hits.
give the items a chance to get stockpiled then hit them hard, rinse, repeat.

just frustrating because im just finishing up the last 2 virtues and ill be Knight in all, just wanna get done done done!!!

I got to Knight fairly quickly. Running around the coasts and islands is the easiest but I do see a lot in the inland forests away from housing areas. The reason the coasts are the best is the items spawn randomly on the map so when they spawn in the water the item bounces to the nearest legal tile on land. I actually saw an item spawn in the water once then blink to the shore. Using GM forensic eval to identify who the item belongs to and turning it in to that npc yields a lot more Honesty than dropping it in the bank lost and found.

ya ive got GM Forensics so ive been giving them to the NPC directly to capitalize on gains.

ive turned in 43 items to their rightful owners and im tier 2, im speculating probably another 20 or so to Knight from where i am now.

that was a interesting virtue to work.
all said it took me 71 items returned to their owners to get to Knight from 0.
16 to level 1
21 to level 2
34 to level 3

so as a ruff ballpark estimate to get to tier 1 by finding then delivering the item to the owner in the right town i got 0.6 baubles per item.
to tier 2 i got 0.5 baubles per item.
to tier 3 i got 0.3 baubles per item.

Does this decay? I had first level almost done a few months ago and after reading you guys posts decided to go back and do some more and it told me I had not started this virtue. I thought the Virtues didn't decay anymore.

They don't but they do go down as you use them... so even if you build it to Knight you lose Knight when you do things. I notice losses in mine if I spend a lot of time at EM events rezing people... Just like using Justice to protect at a champ spawn or starting the spawn decreases your valor. So when you buy things from NPCs at the discount you will lose Honesty.

You have no choice in Honesty... If you make a purchase from an NPC (town vendor not player vendors) you will use your Honesty if you have it as it gives you a discount on items. So say you want to buy 500 blank scrolls... If you were a Knight of Honesty you just bought them at a discount without realizing it and you just lost your Knighthood.

And YES you lose your virtues by doing good things.... You lose Justice by offering Protection to your friends to get more scrolls and whatever... You lose Compassion every time you rez someone... why because you are giving them a bonus of health at Rez... When I rez people they don't need a second bandage because they start out with 80% of their health... and yes... it makes me not want to rez anyone... but you don't become a Knight for your own benefit... you do it for the benefit of others. So yes I have to work it back up every time. But usually after a night of spending my compassion drinking one bottle of the Sage will bring me back up to Knighthood.

I find the spawn rate of the honesty items is just too slow to make it worthwhile to work up. Plus I've never seen a honesty item that I would want to use. Maybe if there was an occasional legendary or major artifact to make it interesting.

that kinda negates the point of the Honesty Virtue is your keep the item, no?
