Raid on Pitmuck!

Icky Rotblossom came to see me today and informed me of an upsetting happening on Pitmuck. She was quite hysterical and it took me a while to calm her down. Here are her words, as I recall them:

"Wee goblins bees in dangur! Mees jes checkeded mees malebox en founded a libble book wit a skeery messege. Itz wuz frum a PIRATE, en himz rote dat mees, Icky, hadz bin RAIDEDS! Mees don't noes wot himz took butz mees gonna tries ta figur it outz! En yoos betterz bees karefuls! Iffin goblinz aint safes, gypzies aint gonna bees safe ebers!"

With that, Icky ran off, presumably to check her possessions and warn the other residents of Pitmuck. I do hope this was just a prank and the dear goblins are not in any real danger.

These days Icky only makes Kefir Water, Merryberry Wine, and Pitmuck Punch... and sometimes a special elixir to treat Pitmuck Pinworms.

Icky's tale ended on a less dramatic note this evening (thank goodness).

After spending part of her evening glaring impotently at the guilty party during the PaxLair meeting, Icky returned home to discover the "raid" had actually been a result of an overblown case of the munchies on the pirate's part.

She retired with her bedroll underneath the apple tree, no doubt secretly pleased (although I doubt she'll ever admit it) that someone in the land still had a healthy appetite... even if that someone did turn out to be a pirate.
