Up at our cottage these Amish folks were selling quilts and stuff by the side of the road. So I'm like this is a nice quilt, whatcha get for that? $1200. Alrighty then! I guess I know a quality quilt when I see one! I think we'll take the jar of honey.

That would be English, Creole, and Spanish.
Signs like that one are posted on just about every building here, most road signs are written in both Spanish and English (sometimes only in Spanish), and on average about 1 out of 3 people you try to talk to here will be able to respond in English.
Have you ever seen a road rage argument between a middle aged white man speaking only English, a Native American tribal elder speaking only the tribal language, a Haitian teenager speaking only Creole, and an old Cuban woman speaking only Spanish?

Amish are taught German/Dutch/Swiss/whatever. They speak English, but only if they think they can make a buck off ya

As for languages around here there is Spanish/Mexican, the Mennonites speak some form of German/Dutch or something and then there are several here from Thailand, Laos and Vietnam... along with a number of Native American tribes.... Mesquakie mainly... But they mostly speak English as they want you to go to their Casino and blow money...
