Well I like the granite only shovel option and the bugged stackables being addressed. Not a lot of info there. Sort of a teaser. Also nice to know they remember they have a newsletter I wonder if they're doing a Valentine gift?

I suspect the developer team will be filling out some of the 'empty' areas of Eodon Valley accordingly and adding content as they go along.

It would be great to see another champ spawn and/or some type of 'Peerless' encounter that requires gathering keys (or something to that tune). Tough to speculate, but this is a nice little teaser that they are working on some new content!

I am actually wondering if we will get fake moustaches and plumber suits to deal with it, given that moustachioed Italian plumbers that can jump and are named after a warehouse landlord have been specialists in dealing with large monkeys since 1981.
And where the heck are the stairs, the mallet and Pauline?

Scripters just script a code to drop the crap at their feet.... the rest of us who actually Mine manually have to stop all the time and try and fish the crap out of our packs, painstakingly picking up each piece and moving it to the trash for the measly 1 turn in point.

I always carry a bag in my backpack and then I've set up an Organizer Agent in UOA to drop the small pieces of blackrock in the bag. When you're done mining, you just run the agent and drop the bag, trash it for points or make a nice bowl of blackrock stew.

I'm pretty sure it was just a copy/paste from the Meet & Greet with a few tidbits of upcoming content. more importantly It replaced the "2015" banner on UO.com with something a little more fresh from 2016 !

Very few details in it (if any), but we'll just have to wait until the official publish notes come out.

Problem is, that organizer agent in UOA *is* a third party script, precisely as MalagAste described. It just happens to be an approved one. Running UO on linux, I own a couple of old UOA licenses, but it won't run on Linux without crashing, so I can't use that. ...And since I was taking a break from UO at the time, I don't have that recipe on any characters, either.

Personally, I'd like to know what's going on with the Wolfgang temple and Doom. It was supposed to be part of the ToL leadup, but now that part of Doom is blocked off, so we can't even get down to that temple. That whole storyline feels kind of forgotten.

You will need to bring your own ladders. The mallet is being replaced with a war hammer. Pauline left to be Lord British's mistress years ago.

I just auctioned off a blackrock stew recipe scroll at the fest, so I'm pretty sure you do get a scroll. Thing is, I don't see any way to even start the quest if you don't already have some loyalty either way from back when that bit was active.

You can still get loyalty by killing Terathans, once you have enough loyalty you can pick up the quest chain to get the recipe.

Actually, they are 10 points each? But not here to be nitpicking, we just want to add we actually kinda like the small pieces of blackrock. Those 5-15 that drop in the bagpack while mining for an hour we throw in a bag, then after several runs we move the bag to our cleanup-point collector and we get extra points just for our mining efforts. We see it as an extra.

As for the gorilla, how can you tell it is so big? Looks regular sized compared to the bananas? Or does Eodon have HUGE bananas? Haven't been any further than Hawkwind yet, heh. Always too many things to doooooo...

The Wolfgang prophecy in Doom was just a foreshadowing of the Time of Legends prequel events. Owain foretold that we would need to find the treasure of a long dead king, i.e. the Lesser Wolfgang Rubies. We already did that...

That storyline isn't forgotten, it's simply concluded.

@Kyronix, for all the digging everyone was doing into the Wolfgang storyline, I really hope there was more to it that just that one-off use... I'd love to see that temple accessible again. I'd also love to see that area where the Ilsh crystal was obtained be made a permanent location. Ilsh really could use some new content, and it's always kind of ncie to be able to revisit old places like that.

are you sure of this? The last time I did it, less than a year ago, I still got the recipe which I passed to my new chef.

I know you can still get the recipe, I'm just not sure if you get the recipe scroll though.

I do know there's some quest where you need to do it on a character that would be able to make the item to learn it instead of getting a recipe scroll, though this may not be the one.

that's the recipe for bone machete, no recipe is given, you must do the quest on a blacksmith - but he doesn't have to actually go into Blighted Grove for the last part.

Or just get rid of the small pieces of blackrock lol. I don't create exodus stuff so having to revive every time piece is tedious Iol. #MinerLife

Seems this way, which is a little disappointing to me.

There are a lot of things in game that can use attention, not another random champ spawn or peerless (let alone a gorilla). With random items that imbalance the game with more potential for failure and required upkeep.

Frankly I have no interest fighting a gorilla champ.

I'd also love to see that area where the Ilsh crystal was obtained be made a permanent location. We can adjust the size and hue of the blackrock pieces to make them easier to see and find in your backpack.

We are pretty focused on fleshing out more of the Valley of Eodon at this time, but you never know when we'll loop back to familiar areas to tie everything together!

We will be adding the ability to exchange current mining bonus gloves for an equivalent gargoyle item in Publish 92.
