I was just at the Origin Meet and Greet
I asked why some of my clean jewelry could not be powder of fortificationed.
The response was no jewelry can ever be powdered.
Whenever I had paged a gm or an advisor they said it was bug unintended
Did everyone but me know jewels even antiques (not allowed according to messena) cannot be forted?

If it's clean i don't see why it's an issue, that's like any normal armor or weapon and they can be powdered. I don't see where there is an issue with that. I figured same rules apply - antique items only have a certain powder limit and so forth...

Never tried it on jewelry though - this is a new one to me.

Nope. I do agree that "clean" jewels should be allowed to have POF used on them as long as they arnt imbued.

Same goes for the new shadowguard drops. They don't have "brittle" or any negative mods but can't be powered. All the old artifacts can be so why not the new ones?

yes its always been like this since we first saw durability on some jewels (first was SA "token of holy favor" and a few others, then "ring of the soulbinder" and coral enchanted bracelet" from high seas)

we didnt have durability on normal loot jewels until the global loot patch that changed loot properties, so wasnt an issue (except for imbued, but imbued was also never able to be reapaired.

In short, its always been like that. 6 years now.

and just to make sure, i just repaired a jewel with tinker tool / no skill so got a bunch of fails to lower durability to 240, tried to fort and yes nothings changed. you cannot pof any jewels.

Was this fact the jewelry was different from all other magic items posted somewhere and I missed it?
