My recollection is that after the crash in May 2008, you could ask Petra to manually reconnect the new user account that you had to set up after the crash with the user account you had before the crash. I was one of the people who didn't bother with making that request at the time. However, about two years ago or so, I asked Petra if it was still possible for her to do that and she told me that by that point it was no longer possible to do it, too much had been lost by then. I set up my Stratics account back in about September 2004, a few months before I started playing UO, so I could post in the TSO forum, but my join date is May 12, 2008.

I've been posting on Stratics since the UO boards shut down. But I forgot my password during one of my many UO game lapses and no one here seemed interested in getting it back for me at the time. Before I was famous again 
But I don't need banners, I'm good, tyvm. IMHO? Banners? I don't need no stinkin' banners! It's like a General wearing so many medals he can barely walk and and infantry soldier with 2 ribbons, who really earned the medals anyway? If you want ribbons you can buy a bunch of them, like everything else in the world. Some people with a ton of ribbons I have little respect for and many of those with no ribbons I think are brilliant. So there ya go. Having ribbons doesn't really do anything for ya. They don't make you smarter or more credible. Ribbons don't buy you respect. If people like collecting ribbons that's fine. Nothing wrong with it. But I don't see them being a big deal or anything.

Step 1: Press "Signature" in your personal settings like the picture below.
Step 2: upload your signature to the internet somehow, most people use Photobucket - Photo and image hosting, free photo galleries, photo editing.
Step 3: Copy and paste your signature from the internet, onto the "Signature" typing box like the picture below and press the "save changes" button.

Who do you contact if you've been active on Stratics off an on since 1998, you've written a metric crap tons of posts and been staff for over 10 years and yet it still lists you as a "visitor" due to Stratics server gremlins, shenanigans, and what not?

I believe there is a thread in the Governor's Board stating how you get put into the Governor's Group.
Basically, you send a PM to the Admins/Mods telling them what shard/city you are governor of. They might check the stone to confirm.
In the past (and hopefully will be reinstituted), reporters would check city stones on their shard and make election reports.
