Ok all. I know runebooks have no turn-in value. Can they be contributed to any of the library or other collections for points?
If you have any of the old ones, some of them are worth 5000 points!Wonder if they are worth cleanup points
If mine are worth that I'm switching over in a heart beat lolIf you have any of the old ones, some of them are worth 5000 points!
Thanks for that info Assia. I originally wanted to ask about the older collectible ones also, but decided I would wait for an opportunity at a follow-up question. Those were the two collectible ones that I recall. Any other older ones that are collectible? The really old ones "a runebook of exceptional quality" can sell for 350-500k and runebook [exceptional] can sell for around 4m, more if it has a GOOD crafter name. Make sure you check before you toss.

And Miri, is there any way to tell the ones that are worth 5k from the ones that are worth nothing? Other than checking each one at the trash can, of course.
I have a couple of runebooks that seem to have interesting colors, but not glacial by any means. Does the EC color indicator work on dyed runebooks? I don't use EC much.I collect different spellbooks but never even thought of rune books as collectible unless they were glacial or something.
The couple I have may be neon ones. Does the EC color indicator provide information on neon colors?*thinks* There might be some that have "neon" runebooks. Those sell for 50-200k depending on color. While you can't make the neon runebook tubs anymore, there are still quite a few active tubs dyeing. I can't recall any other crafted runebooks to watch out for, but hopefully if I've forgotten one another member of the rares community will speak up.
To be honest, I am not familiar with EC as I'm unable to use it. If you want to snap a screenshot, you can post on the Rares forum to see if folks can identify which are neon. A few are very easily to spot, some are pretty close to the eye to some of the natural dyes, but another EC user on there might have the hue #'s. Hope that is helpful. The couple I have may be neon ones. Does the EC color indicator provide information on neon colors?

Slime dye colors?
Well I know who the runebook specialist is if I have a questionOh! There are probably "Of Exceptional Quality" runebooks. They are worth less than the full titled runebooks mentioned in post #8, but still worth more than the points redeemed. Probably 100k to 150k. An' I should mention if you have a runebook that combines the neon color with the rare crafted name it is worth more than the version would be undyed.
No, these colors are from an old dye tub bug.Slime dye colors?
Not only runebooks but all kinds of items which of exceptional quality check out the rares forums for more information per Assia posts there.Well I know who the runebook specialist is if I have a question
Pinco shouldn't have to edit it so we can read it... what happens to the poor S.O.B.'s that use the default client then??? No the DEVs @Bleak and @Kyronix need to fix the ***** thing so it's legible with or without Pincos UI. Either the book needs seriously darkened on the inside or the font needs to be 10X darker.Until y ou can actually 'read' the damn runes in the runebook without going blind I will be using my original books. I also don't see the point in switching to the atlas for my rune libary until i need the space. The new books also dont stack neatly on shelves, so you either have to just stack the books on top of each other or work out another system. I tried to just switch out one of the books on my shelves with the new atlas but it wouldn't go onto the shelf, it kept wanting to jump to the top of the stack of 7 books/shelfs woudlnt go in the slot I opened for it.
I can see it being beneficial for inside CC packs, but unless Pinco can edit this new atlas so you can read it and make it useable I will be sticking to the old. Am really disappointed with the quality of colors for this thing. You cannot even read the malas runes in the book, and all other colors are nearly as bad.
