Honestly I've complained about it since the first time I saw it.. it's calmed down a far cry from what it was but I hate it when people use that spell makes me sick. I can't do anything at all with the screen shaking all over like that.... I fail to see where it enhances my gameplay.
And I don't even have problems with motion sickness and it gives me a headache.

I second this... it literally triggers my vertigo and I have to stop playing. The best is when I end up nauseous for 3 days as a result.

Old people and their silly motion sickness.
Have no idea what you guys are talking about, I've never had a shaking screen with earthquake anywhere. I use EC with Pinco's and all effects turned on, both UO and Pinco's. I wonder if there is some setting that I have changed that did this a long time ago. And this is on both my laptop and desktop, no shaking at all. Earthquake effect is simply a noisy annoyance to me since I'm an archer, but I see no graphic.
So your screen doesn't shake when an earthquake is cast?

I use EC and Pinco's as well, and my screen still shakes. I enjoyed the ride again last night at the turtle champ, while mages earthquaked the drone bugs....
#1 Pet Peeve in all of UO. An asbolute travesty this hasn't been addressed already. I don't want some jack@$$ making my screen shake all over the place. To make matters worse I've venture 90% of the time it happens the guy is afk just running a script....
Nope, sure doesn't. I kind of remember a long time ago i saw it do it once but not any more. I wish I could tell you why mine doesn't and your does, makes me think of some setting or combo of settings that I have checked over the years but for the life of me I don't know what it is or where. i've looked thru all the tabs and find nothing about that other than the settings mentioned in my post.

it's under graphics you go down to particle filter and choose none for particle filter. that gets rid of it. of course, it gets rid of most spell animations along with it. so if you like seeing your fireball/lighting/energy hitting your target, you are out of luck
Do you mean the particle filter under Enable Hardware Death Effect? If so, yes my death effect is always off, but i turned it on, had another character stand by me and cast earthquake and still nothing. Changed the other boxes under that to all possible settings and I still do not see anything.

this is how mine is set and the screen does not shake with EQ.
Likes when other players think they can tell other players what spells they can use and what spells they can't use. If you can't stand the screen to shake when someone is casting earthquake then it is up to you to remedy the situation. Do not remedy it by complaining that someone is casting a certain spell and ruining life for you. I will always use my most powerful tools at my disposal.Go hard or stay home.
I don't believe anyone is telling anyone anything about casting certain spells, it's just that the game effect on some players is severe and makes it difficult if not impossible for them to play. That's not the players fault, that's why he is asking for a toggle to simply turn off the effect.
