I don't think a uo bug forum are a good idea as some bugs do give advantage to players and should not be showed public.

I thought it was because they fixed all the bugs 
The exploitable bugs on the forum weren't public, they were hidden from general view.
The bug forum should be returned though, mainly so people don't keep sending in the same bugs repeatedly. It was also nice to see when the bug was acknowledged by Misk, or if more information was needed.

There were a few reasons it was removed.
- Posts that were made to it were put in a moderated state, they had to be manually approved or removed. With the push for the expansion and limited number of devs ( and their time ) dozens of posts were winding up backlogged waiting on a Dev to review and approve or disallow them.
- The Community Moderation system we have, where after a set number of reports a post "vanishes' works on a similar premises as the Bug Reports Forum did. Posts that are reported by enough people are put into a Moderation Que, awaiting moderator review, and with the backlog of Bug Reports, it became time consuming to sift through them.
- We asked, E-mails to them are the preferred method of getting bug reports.
- Half the time people didn't use the forum, they posted bugs in UHall, because hey, who can be bothered with Forum Descriptions anyways.
Bugs are now submit on UO.com site or Opening Help>Other>Report a Bug (CC).
Bug reports go directly to the UO team, instead of being moderated by a third party.

"they" who? Stratics isn't run by Ultima Online you know...
The bug forum was never meant as a replacement for reporting to uo.com, but for players to be aware of a problem. Any that seemed to be an exploit were kept private and viewable only by devs. Most of the 'bugs' reported on there weren't really bugs but more along the lines of 'I don't like how this works, change it' anyway.
