Usually the whole month through Halloween.
Hoping for some new items this year but with the team working so hard on ToL I'm just happy to have all this!

Doom is on? Sorry but what does that mean? Is it a special event in Doom or something as well?
Doom doesn't appear to be on...yet. The vases are spawning, but killing things in doom yielded no "of Doom" items.
I'm guessing it will take the publish going live for activation of anything new, or for a different dungeon to turn on.

Last time they said that it would be a different dungeon every year, not just Doom. Has anyone checked all the other dungeons?
I can see the ancient clay vases about but after spending some time in the dark guardian room I've not had any "of doom" drops into my pack.

I've not seen any about (so far).
They seem to have ended it the year before, for some dumb reason. I really wish they would just add new colors every year. The skeleton hunt was a lot of fun.
Really enjoyed making up cool character names too... Though some were a bit.... um risky that I saw.
But it was awesome and they make good RP items. Still have "a murder victims bones"... really like that one.

ill apologize, and give you my account if "all halloween content" is actually turned on like you quoted.
no jade, crystal or obsidian skulls yet, but i did get messanna head one a spike, very excited about that since it was the only one i was missing from my set
Oh man that would be neat. I would definitely be out hunting if they added these items back. Especailly the garbs etc.
I already have a few sets of the crystal skulls, a full set of the heads, all the pumpkins carved with cool name, and most of stuff from Doom. I guess its good for people who missed all this before.
Here is another mystery. For a year I save fully charged horns of plenty to use this Season ,meaning Halloween, Thanksgiving , Christmas, 35 or so. Fully charged. Plus some that were at zero. Checked the zeros just now to see if they gained a charge. NO and the fully charged are now at zero!
What was the reason to put them all at zero? A year saved. For?
This is like when I saved all those silly masks to get them dyed, could not till this year. Then I get accused of having a fake large jack o lantern. ugh... which we put on a vendor right after with no issues. I trashed it after that.

Thought horns of plenty came active for thanksgiving and christmas not halloween?
I *think* they charge up during November.Why are they now all zero?
They were fully charged. So they uncharged ( on their own) in October to recharge in November? !!
After reading this I went and checked my Horns of Plenty and all of mine are fully charged (10 charges).Why are they now all zero?

I am going to be "One of those people now" and rant. Yes, I said Rant!!
Halloween is my favorite time of the year in UO and I am very disappointed in the fact the Dark Lady herself, would not take this once a year opportunity to wow us!
Yes, I know they are all busy with the expansion and we should be thankful for anything they give us. blah blah blah!!
well all I have to say is this...If your going to turn on old Halloween content, why not at least add a new face to the pumpkins, giving me a reason to want to gather them "again"!
Why not add different colored bones, so my dying to collect them is my treat!...
hell, even add a new Halloween mask to collect or a new "special" trick or treating item!
The best Halloween for me thus far has been 2009, when the developers seemed to give a damn and put time and effort into it!!
Turning on "old content" is just an easy out and yes, a wasted opportunity......Even if The Dark Lady decides to go shard to shard and do something special, which I think I read somewhere,that is a 1 time thing. It does not allow the player the enjoyment of a whole month of exciting Halloween experiences, unless you are a new player. Us old folk are getting a little tired of the same ole, same ole!!....

I completely agree with all that Sinder Shayde said. Halloween is my favorite time also. I have collected everything from the past years. It is not much fun to go out to do it again with no chance of something new. I thought surely we would have something new this year. I hate to be a griper also but my friend is tired of hearing me so I will say it here. Why couldn't there be pretty containers for the 18th anniversary gift? Why can't there be something rare that I will work and work to get. I am trying so hard to gain back some of what made UO new and different all the time even up until a few years ago. How can a Dev team think that people want to go out and get the same stuff (exactly the same) for another year of Halloween? I feel like Sinder up above. At least I said it. Will anything change? Well I certainly hope so!!
dev cant win with this, u got people asking for same stuff so they can get. when u bring back too many times, so many items are out there that they become worthless. all that work u put in or that money u spent, u find u can get for cheap now or wont sell. only solution is new items.
the one event I loved was the reaper event, the reaper would follow u where ever u went, even in house until u died or it did. was a blast. now everything is so easy to kill its not fun. all I can say, if they ever bring back reapers please devs, don't have same item. can we get something that can kill us at least? lol

Maybe it's just me but I'm almost glad for the rehash... though I would have liked to see the bones from the graveyard more...

Yep, I know. (I responded to your message in the NEWS thread.) The old-style candies work as they should. It's the newer candies that act like regular food. Needless to say, I had been nibbling on the newer sweets.@ old gypsy they didn't turn it off...still works for me anyway.

Oh I ate a pixie stick...that's one of the new ones right?

I dont know much Halloween in doom, If the doom items are for turning in what are the clay pots for?
There are lots of halloween stuff i loved...being chased home by the reaper. The twilght lanterns and ghoul statues. The colored bones with my name. Getting blown up when trick or treating. Even though the stuff is the same, i'm still loving up. Not to mention now I can focus on the nee stuff. Perfect for me.
Carving kits are a bit of a fight lol. I wasn't expecting them to be so tough. I have it down now. But they got me the first time I tried the butcher. I need to make a set for the new shard I'm playing.

Yeah I missed it last year because I was too weak to kill the butchers lol.
This year I'm gonna get em all...but so far only have gotten 3 out of the 9.
Butchers aren't too bad on my samp but the Mesanna Butcher killed me twice :/ lol

Er... pretty sure the Grim Reapers aren't spawning. Do you mean the ghostie-pumpkin grimm's? If so, they aren't that tough. An RC can easily handle them.
Butchers can be nasty, best thing against them is a sampire with an undead slayer.
Greater Dragon does the trick easily.
They will swap targets though... so Protection and Invis are the ticket.
