Question regarding Governor Offices and locations

I noticed that I forgot to auto-renew my trade deal so went to do that and realized that the Governors are supposed to have an office.

Is there somewhere that the locations are listed or do I have to ask the King?

Which city are you governor of? Each city's office is in a set location.

Most of the shards should already have offices, however some cities were.....left out. For example when the offices were being given out the former Atlantic governor of Skara Brae said he didn't want one and refused to cooperate with the system, so Atlantic Skara Brae still does not have an office. There should be a list of the locations around somewhere.

Jhelom. Our EM said that Jhelom's Governors office is near the south dock area but I don't see anything.

Then again, this is Origin...we didn't even have a King Blackthorn for a long time or Governors really so I'm going to e-mail Mesanna and see maybe what happens.

The Jhelom office should be just east of the wall around the south dock, just SW of the Warrior's Bounty. If a prior governor didn't request it, it wouldn't exist.

While neat, in principle, they aren't the most useful of spaces.

That's putting it "nicely".... they are utterly useless. First off so small that it can barely accommodate the Governor let alone someone else. Secondly since the Governor can't do anything in there besides sit in the chair and RP it really serves no purpose at all. If I simply wanted a place to sit I'd sit in the Abbey nearer to the town stone and nearer to the Bank and the bulletin boards that are up if you requested them.

The offices were intended to be the "center" of governorship - so long as the governor participated. Some shards requested materials for the new offices (they are 7x7 buildings). I was gov on Napa (Yew) and was utterly dismayed at the new office. For it to be placed, a historical piece of the shard had to be torn down and that utterly flabbergasted me. I suggested the use of the old Counselor Guild halls for the governors' offices, and was told "that is not in the plan". I got so thoroughly disgusted... it contributed to my resignation in some part.

On several shards, the building is not used. I've only seen it used once on Catskills, the governor had some sort of "sign up" for something and there was an actual line of people to get into the office.

If they moved the city-stone and such near the gov house, I could see it being more popular. Otherwise, is just a waste.
