XFER LOST ITEMS BUG *BEWARE*

I have not lost any gold but I had many items go missing from my bank and chars. I had filled up some chars with stuff. next thing u know, the chars and banks are all empty except the gift items. this has happened 3 or 4 times. was told by devs that this cant happen, coughs. no, they are not duped items lol.

it does happen. usually when an account is inactive a long time. when i didnt play UO for like 4 years i cam back and my accounts stuff was gone. this was back when you could actually get someone on the phone, and i called very angry. they compensated me by counting those 4 years as paid towards my overall account age so i could get vet rewards. nowadays i doubt anything would be done.

I have a character I transferred last year from atlantic to europa, well he got hung in xfer somehow then finally showed up on Europa, he is squelched,cant click anything,has no backpack. I lost all his items and he is a useless character now. He is destined to sit in the yew abbey for the rest of times (he cant page anyone bc he has no menus lol)

well, look at it this way. if you were a bank, would you tell people their money could lost / hacked / etc even if you knew it was true? of course not. pretty much standard procedure to reassurre these things can just never happen (even tho they do)

Yes it was 124m checks in a brown bag that equals 125 items. Your pack can hold 125 items last time I checked. 63M can barely buy you a cup of coffee so it's not a huge loss. As far as it being duped I am fairly certain that's not the case. I just thought it was odd only half of it disappeared. Hope this does not happen to anyone else

So how did you place a shard shield token in your pack to transfer? That would be 126 items in your backpack.

I guess I need to explain this better------------------1. I had 124m in checks in a bag 2. Yes, that's 125 in items so I had to take a check out and replace that 1 spot with a shard xfer token (this was done at the last second so forgot to mention it in my original post)
I don't understand why your so caught up in the items it's a fact that checks were lost in a transfer. Maybe you think I am coming here to troll stratics by saying I lost 60m.......... got better things to do. Just trying to help someone people out by telling them to be careful, take what you want from this....

People still take pack horses full of checks on transfers? I thought they way to do it now was to swap up gold at the casino for chips, transfer to the new shard then the chips back in for gold.

I actually tried this out once, quite awhile back but it did not work out.
The gold I swapped for chips remained on the original shard I transferred from. has this changed..just curious

As far I know the casino chips do not transfer between shards, though I haven't tried within the last few months. The casino chips do work similarly to the new banking system in that all characters on an account on a given shard can access them. I guess since they are account bound and not character bound, they are non-transferable.

As a side note I am hoping that the chips are compatible with the new system as I basically use the casino as all my characters gold stash.

ya'll had me worried. i transferred over to Chessy today for rares fest carrying gold in my backpack, bank, and a beetle. i'm relieved to say everything arrived ok. but i know all my checks were 'clean' because i retrieved them from my vendors.

You need to kill him, works for everything lol
