Account Management SNAFUs! Watch Your Accounts!

3 times, on 2 different accounts in the last 2 months, "The credit card on file was declined". So I go to account management, click the subscribe button, bingo bango everything is fine. So my credit card info is clearly entered properly. It should be completely unnecessary for me to have to daily check all my accounts to see if they're active. Sure I get the emails, but does anyone really use email much anymore? The first time this happened to me I was actually out enjoying life and didn't catch it for over a week. Really ticking me off. EA doesn't seem to get the concept of "TAKE MY MONEY!". *sigh*

smh and that story is repeated so often and forso long, ORIGINEAMYTHICBROADSWORD should hang their heads. And whoever is in charge of that end should be demoted. I told one of my people one time on payday, they should back up to the paymaster in shame to pick up their check.

This has happened a few times to me in the past few months.

Well some of the accounts this happened to are just house holders that I actually pay for every month. Maybe I should just be a jerk and let them float for 2 months without paying? I wouldn't do that but it sure is tempting. Maybe EA should try hitting that credit card a few times spaced out over a day before they start locking one out.

Last time it happened I didnt renew for a month....same this time. it won't bill right, i'll wait a month - especially since they keep taking time off my game time each time they bill early.

You would think with an expansion just around the corner that should bring back returning players they account new account management system would be a pretty high priority.

People are still using credit cards for UO? I switched to GTCs, once they got so ridiculously expensive for CCs.
When buying a month with my CC directly in the AccMgmt, I costs me whopping € 16.65 (the actual amount, which is billed from my CC)
A single month GTC costs € 11.50 on Origin. (Paid with the same CC :p)
A six month GTC costs € 45.99 there, which is € 7.67 per month.

So yeah, I really don't have to watch my accounts ;)

Across the duck pond we don't have that problem. Hell even in Calif EA stopped charging taxes on my accounts.

Well my big deal with the Account MisManagement system is that they often will bill my CC from Switzerland or the Netherlands. My CC company will NOT accept charges from outside the USA so it will deny the payments. I have no idea why they can't seem to figure out that I live in the USA ..... I know Iowa is a bit backwards and all and it is well in the middle of nowhere etc... and yes in BFE as my friend is always telling me but I'm fairly certain that it's still in the US of A.

I get tired of having to call my CC hotline and tell them that YES I do want to pay EA Games for my accounts and YES I do get bills from them several times a month... and YES I do realize that they have a security problem and all but that is with the ORIGIN store which I'm not buying from and that HELLO I've been paying them several times EVERY month for over 15 years so for cripes sake just pay them!

It's running through Origin. I can prove it too. So their flag is valid about the Origin store having security problems etc. because it is technically running through Origin.

Also....Iowa is next to me in Nebraska....so we must both be in BFE :)

As far as I can remember Origin did not have these issues and neither did EA until they started treating UO like the Baratheons treat Reek

Nebraska... Well hello Neighbor! And people think Iowa is FLAT and boring... LOL. I hear it all the time when folk come bike riding for Ragbrii ..... Corn on the left, Beans on the right, Corn on the Right, Beans on the left. Then they ride Ragbrii and ask where we got all these hills from... Some say we stole them from Nebraska. LOL.

I'll have what Larisa's having. :beer: I gave up on the new Management system ever happening. Another in long, long, long string of broken promises. Guess I'll have to watch my accounts closer, nothing new for me.

If you can find them, get the EA cards from WalMart (they don't carry them in Hawaii anymore).
Apply that card to your Origin account's "wallet" and use that for your time codes. I have a reminder set on my phone a couple weeks before it expires. EA has messed up my CC info so many times, I just stopped using it. I had thought about using my PayPal, but I use that for business stuff so don't wanna go mixing business with pleasure. :)

I am most upset that the EA cards are no longer available here in Hawaii. Makes me wonder what's up with that. All the other major game publishers have cards for in game micro-purchasing and such, shoots, even Facebook and ESO - along with Microsoft, Sony and more. But not EA. *sigh*

I recently had pleasure of meeting a fine Austrailian lass who told me she had lost her house due to the fact that the gamestore wouldn't accept her CC, took her over a week to get them to 'choke it down'. How disgusting, just don't know anymore ...

Yes this is new with me too. Started about 2 months ago.

Actually this started when I had to put new credit card info in. The only thing that changed was the exp. year and the 3 digit security code. I know the info is right. When I get the email or can't log in I just click the button to reactivate the account and it goes right through.

I've noticed I get billed at midnight. I wonder if my credit card thinks someone is pulling a sleazy in the middle of the night? lol
