Easy to check, get your swampy, armor him up, head for centaurs or rat archers and do some combat.Do swamp dragons work with archers? For some reason I had it in my mind they didn't.
NODidn't the Charger of the Fallen mount have some sort of DI attached to it at one point?
Aye. They are big enough to carry two people in my opinion. Now that would be such a cool addition!Although why would a nimble archer want to maneuver on a big clunky swamp dragon anyway, eh?
No I think it was just a stamina loss reductionDidn't the Charger of the Fallen mount have some sort of DI attached to it at one point?
Good idea - nice vehicle concept implementation for UO.Aye. They are big enough to carry two people in my opinion. Now that would be such a cool addition!
No running would make it just not worth it in my opinion. I know it would be way OP but it would just be so cool. Mount up with a team mate and off to war you go! Imagine 2 archers or an archer and a mage. It would be insane!Good idea - nice vehicle concept implementation for UO.
Good for X-heal, lots of bonuses in PvP...
But need some penalty too - may bee no run in this mode?
Would be fun wouldn't it! I still think we ought to have land boats.... as in an Elephant with a people carrier on the back we all ride on it... it should be slightly faster than walking but not much and it should let you carry a full party. All riders must stay on the mount... and be in party... However the "mount" takes damage and you need to have a Tamer there to vet the mount while you are battling from it if the mount "dies" then you all fall to the ground taking 1/2 life damage... if you have less than 1/2 life you die in the fall... Once the mount is rezed you can reform the party and remount... however mount will move slightly slower than a walk for 15 min after resurrection. No running would make it just not worth it in my opinion. Ummmmm cause technically they move at the exact same speed as every other running mount.Although why would a nimble archer want to maneuver on a big clunky swamp dragon anyway, eh?
Actually this is not exactly true. The swampy and Kirin are slower because they have more "graphics" as in their movements have more frames than say an Ostard or a Llama... It's why in the CC if you change your "appearance" to appear to be an orc you will indeed up your movement speed slightly. Not terribly noticeable if you have a really good connection and computer speed but if your computer isn't so new and is graphically challenged you'll notice quite an improvement in speed.Ummmmm cause technically they move at the exact same speed as every other running mount.
Yep, back in the day we used Ridable Llamas for that reason. Although, while they did move slightly faster than a Horse, they also had less Stamina, back when Mounts could actually run out of Stamina and then you couldn't run any longer on them.Actually this is not exactly true. Interesting because I know I have run races on my swampy and see absolutely no difference in speed assuming people are running the same line. But then I am running on a high end laptop so perhaps that resolves it.Actually this is not exactly true. This is true as well one of my biggest pet peeves about the difference between a girl using Wraith form and a guy using it! It's very hard to get the bar of a guy in wraith form but a female is 2X the size and not nearly invisible. Sticks out like a sore thumb! TOTALLY unfair IMO.Interesting because I know I have run races on my swampy and see absolutely no difference in speed assuming people are running the same line. I know in the past different mounts travelled different speeds....and stamina was also a factor. I was under the assumption now that the only benefit of the smaller mounts is that it is harder to grab their Heath bar to attack them.
Yes but the male will get their ass kicked by seminar...where as a female can solo her. This is true as well one of my biggest pet peeves about the difference between a girl using Wraith form and a guy using it! That's because she don't like men. Every man gets their A** kicked by her. She doesn't discriminate between just any men... it's all men.Yes but the male will get their ass kicked by seminar...where as a female can solo her.
Are you certain?
Yes when they first came out they were popular for a couple reasons....Are you certain?
LMAO I asked Mesanna for this. I asked for a Mumakil to be precise, which is a war Elephant from LOTR. She said no. Not only did she say no but she said she'd fry me if I brought it up again. LOL She said it'd be a walking lagfest.Would be fun wouldn't it! But could you imagine doing a champ spawn on the back of an elephant!?! However remember you will all be in one pile to area damage effect spells will do some serious problems there is no where to run from it. So you best have some awesome healing skills! And maybe even 2 tamers in the party to keep the mount alive.
Sorry a day dream of mine! Right up there with a hot air balloon for @Kyronix!
I do not think it is accurate to say that the mounts themselves have different speeds, they don't. Every mount has the same speed, all subject to the server caps. Does connection and PC performance affect movement speed, yes. Might you experience more lag on a slow computer with a crappy connection with more graphics... Possible. Exactly though less and less noticeable with the higher performance pc's and internet connections.Agreed
