Wth is up with this ? If I open a thread on any forum, the page constantly says Waiting for Facebook....over and over, the page never fully loads, and is laggy as all hell. Down towards the bottom of whatever forum page I"m at, the "Be the first of your friends to like this" link is popping in and out of sight over and over...it's beyond annoying. Anyone else, or just me ?

Get whatever Chrome's version of NoScript is called, install it, and block the facebook.com domain here. That's what I did, and it doesn't block facebook.com when I actually go to Facebook.

NoScript is amazing in general. Usually you have to whitelist a couple domains the first time you go to a site to get everything looking right, but that isn't a big deal and it keeps you safe from a LOT of malware crap foisted on you by advertising domains.

This happens to me too, started happening a few days ago. I use Chrome without any ad-blocking add-on's. It only happens when I have only one tab open. If I open a new tab, it just stops and the page finishes loading, so not a big issue but very annoying when it happens.

I think it's funny how people have so much hate for Facebook, but alot of those same people have Twitter accounts and use them pretty regularly. What's the difference?

This is the only thing I use, I still use a flip cell phone for when I am on the road only and my old rotary phone is put away incase I need it when this new fangled thing goes out.
