Give Spellweaving a party summoning spell?

Could be a simple novelty thing that just makes Arcane Focus quicker. May promote more usage as well. Could have interesting PVM and PVP impact.

It's really just saving time from having to gate around and giving it on Spellweaving is mostly for the Arcane Focus.

Restricted in areas where all other similar spells are restricted of course.

is anyone else as lost as I am about what he is talking about? Could be a great idea all fleshed out in your mind...but it sure doesnt translate well to your post....at least not for me?

Fair enough. LOL

What I'm suggesting is to give a Spellweaver at WBB Arcane Circle a spell to summon everyone they are in a party with. It would act like a recall for everyone else in the party that transports them to the Spellweaver.

EDIT: Give them a confirmation button of course... and it wouldn't be castable in locations you can't mark.

Why? I am at a loss as to the possible benefit? Why would you want to summon everybody to WBB arcane circle? Am I missing something?

I'd like to see the arcane circle work with any skill range of people. Having the skill on my character and having to soulstone it off when someone someone does a zero skill circle is an un-nessesary hassle.

It could have other uses too... Like partying up at a house and having one spellweaver run where you want the party summoned. Not all things have to be game breaking. I just thought it'd be a fun spell with some utility. Saves time gating around.

This could be abused so easy. 1 stealther goes and hides and watches, you know kind of like those illegal cameras/people UO got rid of, and when time is right you just summon your crew at the last minute to do all the dirty work or one person waits outside and summons everyone to them. Isn't there places where recall does not work and this may be a work around that.

The only flaw in this... is the fact that you need to be by people to party them to begin with. In modern games this concept works because you can party people no matter their location in the game. Then one person goes to the destination while everyone else in the party gets to continue checking facebook!

There's really no need for summoning anywhere in UO. Look how popular bracelets of binding are.. *sarcasm*.

Here's a slightly different idea...

since you need a group of weavers to get a focus, why not a "group spell"? By that, I mean a spell which will become more powerful as more weavers are either added to party or in your immediate (5 to 10 tile) radius.

I think a better idea...is for the "summon weavers" spell to work like this....any spellweaver on your shard gets summoned to your location and then returned to their location after focus. They would of course have the right to deny the summoning...and again it would'nt summon people from everywhere.

I would be casting this roughly 4000000 times a day.

anyone in your group could be in trouble and you insta recall them out of their trouble to you?
at least on siege your party gets raided by PKs and your weaver insta pulls them out of danger?

Picture this...

Spellweaver casts summoning spell. EDIT: and does a skill check.
Party members get notification.
Party member accepts notification.
Party member begins to cast recall-esque spell with the target destination being the spellweaver. EDIT: And no skill check on the party member's part.

The only difference between what we have now is that the spellweaver is acting as the marked rune and multiple people get the same destination/notification.

Again, obviously not useable in places that do not allow recalls. I do agree with what Giggles said though.

Have npc weaver's wandering in and out of the circlt so if no player weaver's are on your can still get a focus

Considering at times just finding three other players to join a no-skill circle can be impossible, this would certainly help.
