So being recently returned to find my house fell....
I'm seeing mentions of 'Warehouses'? Does this mean my soulstones and vet rewards went somewhere now for me to re-claim?
Again the info is abit hard to recover and read so i'm not really sure what these 'warehouses' are or what i'd need to see if my 14 year old gear is lost or recoverable?

there's no such thing as a warehouse. there are 'lost and found' boxes at some banks but most are empty & i've never been able to put any items in those boxes. on some shards players will lock down soulstones they found at idoc's. good luck finding yours.

That's true, there isn't an actual "Warehouse" so to speak. It's a term that Broadsword uses for the systems that manage housing, vet rewards, etc. They run separate from the actual server, but if your house fell, unless someone grabbed the stuff and is holding it somewhere, then its gone.

Sadly Soulstones are now worth Turn in Points. Likely someone threw them away. If you didn't have your things on you when you quit and your accounts went down then it's probably all gone.

That's true as well, I had 40 or so I'd held onto for about the past 6-8 years from doing IDOC's I eventually tossed them for clean up points.

Lost and found boxes are for those lost items you sometimes find around the lands - they're marked as such - which give you points towards... honesty? when you turn them into those lost and found boxes.

This is correct. If you have Forensics it'll tell you who lost it and what town they are from. If you are a human you might have a chance to find the correct town. You get more points for turning it in to the right person in the right town... Otherwise you can drop it in one of those boxes at a bank.

"Warehouse" is just what they call a server now for some reason. So like now the housing server is a housing "warehouse" etcetera.

I still don't understand why soulstones don't just drop into the chars bank box on an IDOC, it's not like they don't know who owns what soulstone.....their linked and all that, same with vet rewards.
I can see why people have a hard time coming back when they start looking at all the stuff they will have to do from scratch again...

Well to be fair you do have the option to bank these said items to make sure you don't lose them.

And do not forget the pay every month like most of us so your house doesn't go IDOC.

that's a great idea! my tower on chessy dropped due to a billing issue and i lost all my soulstones (with skills). i was taking a break from the game but i was still paying for my accounts. all accounts were paid using the same credit card. i never had any previous issues with payments. but this one account had an unknown billing failure. when i came back a few months later my tower was gone. i have no desire (not to mention time) to rebuild those skills. but alas my housing dilemma had a happy ending b/c i placed a keep in front of an effigy to a traitor plot. the devs removed the burning debris & i upgraded to a castle.

how many people leave soulstones locked down in their house? i'd venture to say most. because the bleeping things don't work from your bank box. if you know you're leaving, it makes sense to bank them.

New players just have to learn how to play UO, old returning players have to unlearn what they thought they knew and then relearn how to do all over the new way.

Most of the time they are along the shorelines...you see this:

It will give this message:

If you use forensic Evaluation on it, you'll see something like this:

Then you go to New Mag and fine Ellsworth:

Drop the item on him to return it and gain Honesty!

Honesty is really good if you buy bulk items off of NPC's, you get a discount
