House Customization and Guild Chat

Why am I squelched in guild/Ally chat when I am customizing my plot? What purpose does that serve?
Also a word to the wise. Don't resize your keep to a 18x18. I tried that today and it glitched and my keep fell. :(

Now that would just be mean. Did you know that gen chat and all other public chats are not disabled when customizing? You can talk to the general player base but not guildmates and allies. That makes no sense.

lol.. ya that does sound like a crazy thing... maybe it has to do with the activator key that is used idk.. maybe the comma and the backslash are the differences
