Questions about Exploring the Deep Quest

I have been marking the spots to do this quest. I can not find the Obsidian Wyvern in Destard, Ice Wyrm in Ice Dungeon, and Josef Skimmons at the Buc's Den Blacksmith shop. Do these only show up when you are actively on the quest?

From what I have read, Yes. They only show up while you are actively on the quest.

The wyrms will only spawn while you are actively on the quest and doing that particular step. Joseph should be there regardless, whether he will talk to you or not is a different story

I have been all over the Cutlass Smithing in Buc's Den and Josef is not there on Chesapeake. Is there more than one Blacksmith shop in Buc's Den?

Yes, there are two BS shops... one each in one of the two Buc's Dens ... Josef Skimmons is there but only in Trammel!

Aye, it's doable on Chessie. I can confirm it. When the time comes for the genie, give us a yell on general chat; he can be a bit difficult.

Awesome! I have always wanted to do this quest as well because it looks like it will be a lot of fun. Katrena, if you ever want to team up and tackle this quest together I would love the company!

The Destard Obsidian Wyvern is down two flights of stairs on the west side of the main level.

The Ice Dungeon Wyrm is your first left(west) from the main entrance. Proceed west and he spawns in the area just before the bridge.

Can the same character repeat the Exploring the Deep quest more than once and get the unique items each time?

If you do this quest with another person that is also doing the quest, does the Obsidian Wyvern, Ice Wyrm, and the other mobs spawn in multiples at the same time for each person on the quest?

I have never tried to repeat the quest on the same char. As far as I know the only item without a timer on it is the scroll.

No matter how many people are doing the quest, the Wyrm and wyvern will spawn once. As long as everyone deals enough damage they will get the quest item. Each will respawn again if you did not get enough hits in the first time but there will only be one up at a time.

You can not repeat the quest. You can however get another set of items by clicking on the sign behind the quest giver in Trinsic. These items can only be worn by the character that completed the quest and you cannot put them on a vendor or mannequin.

Edited to add that you can still help others complete the quest.
