[Discussion] Should old topics be periodically brought back up with polls?

Occasionally people will bring up subjects that have been discussed many many times in the past. Some times they will put polls on the same subject as well.

So, is this something that should be happening in the rares forum? What say you...?

i voted yes. its valuable information to see how opinions change over the course of history.

for example (keeping this to UO) if a poll were made on glacial items being sold in the forums a month after the dupe, it would probably be much different than now, years later, when the issues surrounding the same question, as well as those affected, have changed.

And yet a poll wasn't done on glacial items being allowed and yet things changed anyway. "Invaluable"....I think not.

I voted yes also. Sometimes things change. Even the opinions of old fogeys.

Maybe a polls forum called, "Beating a dead horse?"

If the logic is that these polls might change things on Stratics then where is the line? Why not post a thousand polls every day about all the silly pet peeves everyone has and try to get Stratics to change. Then people that want to vote can do so ad infinitum.

And the people in the rares forum can discuss rares and sell them.

You know what I need...A POLL...wait I did that.
