Changes in Ultima Online

What is going on in Ultima Online? I haven't played hardly at all last 2 or 3 years. So can anyone tell me what changes have happened? Is there any new items are any other things of interest? Thinking about checking out the new enhanced client. Anyone supply some tips for the EC?

I don't think anything big has been released in the past 2-3 years. Maybe some new holiday deco but that's about it. They are currently cleaning up the Stratics database on UO things so be patient with it (Or go read uoguide.com ) while looking up anything you encounter as being new.

EC client tips? Just hop in and fiddle with all the settings really. The macro system is getting pretty robust.

When did the loot change first happen, shame etc... was that within 3 years? I can't remember. That went global anyway. Other than that... VvV?

shard vendor search and shard general chat are new...and both have good/ bad points

best tip for the EC...delete it and play the CC although the EC is usefull for colour IDing i guess

EC is better for PvP, some extra speed is never bad.

i would say the biggested change / realease of the last 2 years would be global loot.

the "antique" property was created to replace ephemeral, and most high end suits (mostly pvp) utilize these for jewels (because theres no other comparable alternative for jewels)

general gear inflation because of global loot and "brittle" legendaries being extremely common and basically never wear out.

Virtue Vrs Vice artifacts / new pvp system was also a major change.

The "Huntmaster's Challenge" and Trader's Quests (not very engaging content imo but some playstyles like it)

EM drop system was changed from top damagers to totally random (if you just have looting rights)

Armor changes based on type (studded bone stone / plate and metal / wood / leather) (not sure if this has passed the 2 year mark yet)

thats about it for last 2 years that i can think of.

they vamped the fishing up chests (suppose to use luck)
