Bugged Ship Deployment - Any Fix?

OK, so a couple weeks ago I was doing Corgul. Had some issues getting in and out of his location, but I finally made it back to shore and dry docked my boat. Now won't let me place the boat back in the water. So far I have tried:

Paging a GM.
Using the "Abandon Boat" option from the harbor master.
Placing a different kind of boat.

I can get a rune from the harbor master, but if I try and use it, it says ship can not be found.

It has been a couple weeks now and I still can not place a boat. Anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

So you have the dry dock boat icon in your pack, right? What specifically does it say when you try and place it? What happened when you tried placing a different kind of boat? Have you tried placing those boats with a different character? Each character can only place one boat at a time, so if you have one placed somewhere, it is probably preventing you from placing a second.

I can place boats with other characters on the same account. I can place those boats with other characters. When I try on that character I get the message "you already have a boat deployed".

I had lost my Britannian Ship (yes, the big one) due to decay, and yeah, will not let me place any other boat with the character that owned it although I can with other characters. The rune went poof, and is not on my lighthouse and harbormaster says I don't have a boat, but yet I cannot place a new one.

Hadn't said anything about it cos I was just so darned busy. :-/

Maybe @Kyronix or @Bleak can shed some light? Although I'm sure they are busy with the focus group and such on the new expansion.

The exact same problem happened to me 3 or 4 months ago. My situation was a bit different from yours though, the following is all I remember and GMs can actually fix it.

I was on the Corgul's floating island with my boat being deployed on the shore(mine was not dry docked), I was busy fighting Corgul and didn't notice when server went down for regular maintenance. When I logged back in after server was back up, I saw my screen all white like it's flashing for a second and then I found my char standing near Gazer room in Shame, very weird, like my char was teleported to a random location. And then I found myself in the exact same trouble as yours...

I paged a GM three times, no response for the first page, paged again a few days later and got a response but I already logged off so I couldn't receive it, and finally for the third page, a GM responded to me very quickly(took only a few mins). I explained what happened to me, he said he's looking into my char's boat record/data(something like that). He said it seems my boat is still remaining somewhere and if he deletes it I could deploy a boat again so I said to him please do it.
After he deleted my boat, I could actually deploy a boat again(I just dry docked my new boat because I wasn't going to use it at the time), problem solved... I just appreciated his fast response and was happy that I could fight Corgul again...

BUT, the issue wasn't fixed actually. It just happened again after a server down the day the GM fixed the issue for me. I just couldn't deploy a boat, again, the trouble still continues... But I didn't feel like paging a GM again, I just gave up and left the problem as it was because I think it's a flaw in the code and probably beyond GM's ability. I just let my alt char to deploy a ship and let my main use it...

I think you should just keep paging a GM till they respond, they can fix it and you will be able to deploy a boat again... at least for a day though. My suggestion is that if you can successfully deploy a new boat after a GM fixes the issue, do not dry dock it (unlike I did) and leave it deployed on the water through server down and see what happens. I hope the devs look into this. Having a char permanently disabled to deploy a ship is definitely a serious issue. (The alter not taking certain maps, timer on the map sometimes doesn't start from full 2 hours and this boat problem... Corgul encounter seems to have been buggy since it's introduced.)

Try the "abandon boat" option with every harbor master you can find. It may be that only the harbor master for the subserver where you last had the boat with that character will actually be able to address your problem.

Tried the harbor master for the facet/server I was doing Corgul on... No luck.

Out of curiosity, have you tried giving that boat to another character and see if they can place it? If they place that one, have the character that could not place it try placing a new one. Don't know if it will work but might be worth a try to see if the boat is bugged or if it is the character.

Yes, tried this. The original boat can be placed by my other characters. The character that is bugged can not place any other boat type.

could the bugged character drydock the boat when it was placed by another character?

Well seems fate would have it different. Was able to place at the time the GM came, but did not want to risk my Brit boat if for some reason it decided not to let me dry dock it after server reset. Sure enough... Tried last night to put the boat in the water and the bug has returned... grrr.
