Are they no longer supporting Japan???...not sure how to read this....or as there been a big problem with fake codes over there?? hence the termination???

What are the populations of those shards during their prime time? Have you noticed any major drops in players?

Interesting take on this announcement, but it does sound fishy that they are eliminating the use of those codes.

I thought they had a seperate store. Perhaps they are just consolidating stores and need to lock down the code sequence that will be accepted.

They had a problem with some of their codes and were given a way to get them fixed which will end July 31, 2015. UO Japan found a problem and took steps to fix it, so if you have a code then you need to contact them and they will fix it providing it is a good code and you can prove that you got it from them.

I think its a bit deeper than that, a lot of the codes generated were being sold fora fraction of the cost of the Origin store.

pretty sure the japan site was hacked... 6 month game time codes were ripped off in the thousands area... then sold to the masses very quickly...

However, that is all speculation, i know nothing.

How can such speculation be so precise? Why are you always hinting at things that you are clearly doing only to sum it up with a mocking reply that you are either just kidding or you know nothing?

Perhaps its because the game is so secretive about things to the general public but leaks them to a select few "special players" then that trickles down to little nobodies like myself. Perhaps though, only perhaps...

so when WE had fake advanced character tokens they all got deleted instantly, good or bad ones they all got deleted.
the jap store puts out thousands of fake codes and they get 2 and a half months to use the codes before they are gonna delete them - they even get told to use them so they will all be gone before the cut off?

or that its against stratics tos to be anything but indirect with that info. im sure if you icqed probably 50 different people here on stratics they could tell you exactly what player sellers / third party sites this announcement effects in some way.

i think its just the time codes rather than item codes.....have talked to many folks the 6 month code thing is real as players have told me they were available for like 15/20 dollars for 6 months time on a open freely availble to buy website.....and let me also add they sold out!!!! so mny folks bought them at that price,,,....no wonder this action was needed- kinda gueesing it wasnt sooner...well at least we have got to the bottom of this mess

To me they are saying that they know these codes are out there so they block all codes and you have to prove that your code was purchased the right way and this offer will expire July 31, 2015
