Paging a GM

I paged for a GM nearly an hour ago. I haven't gotten any type of response yet.

In the past you would get the "you're number x in queue". But I haven't even gotten that. I cancelled and re-sent my help request but I'm not holding my breath.

If there aren't any GMs today, could we at least be told that in an automated message. I don't have the time to sit here and watch all day for what's likely to be no response.

And for those wondering, I'm decorating my newly placed castle and a rarewood chest I've been working with has disappeared. There's only one person friended to it and he's not online (and he wouldn't steal stuff). The wind chimes didn't make a noise and detect hidden revealed no one. I paged hoping a GM would look under the plot in case it somehow fell underneath.

So we shouldn't use containers made of wood now? It happened on the 2nd floor as well. Though I wasn't moving anything downstairs.

Sadly it was my chest with all my robes/cloaks/quivers/sandals/sashes. So this is quite the hit for me.

They don't do the GM Que anymore, with the introduction of the Advisor program, GM pages go to them first. If if is an issue an Advisor can handle, one will come help. Maybe try general chat to see if there's an Advisor around, though with it being a US Holiday I don't know if anyone will be around.

Thank you. I had no idea they didn't do that any more. Do you know if Advisors get the requests regardless of shard? Or will playing on a smaller shard go against me as well?

There are usually 2 Advisors per shard so that at least one can be on or available at all times. I know, at least on Origin, that our advisor's are on quite often and are always available to help with things like the issue you are having.

I'm pretty sure the option to page an Advisor is only there if one is actually online on that shard.

So, easy way to tell.

I go to "Help" and click "Canel Pending Request" and it does nothing. I can't remove my request for help

That sucks. Lately I've been doing a lot of decorating and organizing. I haven't had any issues with any of the 32 wooden chests I've locked down and they are all on the 2nd floor of my castle. Is it possible the chest went into another container?

Oftentimes when unlocking an item on a lower floor we accidentally target and unlock an item on the floor above, which then simply follows normal decay rules and poofs after a while.

Unlocking items in a multiple storied building is extremely hazardous.

I would advise always checking your house sign storage numbers prior to doing any customizing and really any unlocking of any items at all, although I don't always follow that advice myself.

So I think we could use some house tool function that does this for us or perhaps maybe even an npc housekeeper?

An npc housekeeper could inform us immediately of any lock down/storage changes and possibly search for and locate any items that have fallen beneath the house.

I do hope you get some answers as to what happened to your lost items but I don't hold out much hope you will get those specific ones back.

Try checking the upstairs containers in the general area in case you accidentally unlocked, dragged and dropped the chest into another container.

I just moved into this place this weekend and this is the first room I started to unpack/organize. There were only 15 (6 empty) other containers in the area (all floors/roof combined) and all were checked multiple times without luck. I don't have a trash barrel placed either, so that's out. I have keys and a couple other random items on the floor that I don't want. They still haven't decayed so I can't imagine that's what happened. Also not in my or my beetle's pack.

*edit* Forgot to add a GM did show up about an hour and a half after the first page. They were very nice and willing to help. But they said there was nothing below the castle plot.

I feel your pain I was decorating my castle and a table I'd locked down poofed out from under the dye tub locked down on it. Better the table than the tub, but still dang! I guess the game gets hungry.
