Acct Management problem of the day:

Trying to recover an old account that has some good characters on it. No idea what the password was, spent days emailing back and forth with info on acct and chars, etc, got an email from support congratulating me and giving me a new password.

Now...It's the wife's acct, but nothing can be done because it isn;t linked to a EA master acct. Tried to make her one, already exists. wrong password. request a change of password, it sends us to an ORigin site, where we do it, but it still doesnt work. 2 days and more involved in this ********, I decided enough is enough, I have an old spot thats no good any longer on my linked acct list.

Oops! Can't unlink that one, or any one I don't think.

I admit sometimes I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but WTF? people? add more link slots in there, or add an unlink option. Or better yet, and best idea ever, flush the **** down the toilet and go back to the old ways. This should have been fixed long long ago.

Forget Steam, forget new player experiences (this would be one the player would remember!) and fix the damned thing where people that want to play, can play, K?

The old system was so easy to use. The system they replaced it with should be called "The Gauntlet". :(

Just remember though, the current system was advertised to us when it came in as something that would be "a huge improvement"....... I really do fear their ability to 'improve' it just as much as they did last time. :(
Well I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I will wait until "mid May" and then see what they say. You just never know, they might pull something amazing out of the bag!

I honestly don't remember having any probs with the old system, might just be my old memory tho.

Oh well, I woulda had to buy SA and HS and God only knows what else to get it up to speed. I can eat a lot of TexMex with that money instead :party:

I honestly don't remember having any probs with the old system, might just be my old memory tho.
I never had a problem either with the old (aka original) system. Not even once.

Well I think they should follow the "Scotty" rule when saying when something is going to happen..... "What the bleeding hell did you tell them that for? You NEVER tell them when something is actually going to be done son! You always say it's going to take LONGER than that, this way when you get it done much quicker they think you're a ruddy genius!"

Under promise and over deliver, and the developers would be HEROES! Instead of everyone having become accustomed to taking EVERYTHING they say with a grain of salt.

The Dev's get bashed no matter what they do. Period.

Not saying they don't deserve some "Constructive Criticism" once in awhile but all I can say is Jeez to the constant strings of negativity towards their efforts.

A lot of which stem from players who do not even play the game anymore.

Stratics in the past was a good community with solid suggestions and input. That seems to be happening less and less lately.

A lot of it stems from players who do still play, some with multiple accounts. And some of it comes from players who dont still play, but would if they could get past account management!
Oh you have some idea I'm guessing like I do of how many players wanted to return but can't get their accounts back on. They REFUSE to spend weeks trying to get their account back going thru hurdle after hurdle to do something that should be so simple.... but instead is a futile effort resulting more in frustration than it's worth. If I could say how many people have contacted me and said they can't get their accounts back and told me it's just not worth the frustration.... told me F it... not coming back. Or how they guess EA/UO doesn't want them back in game.

was an experience, but it was eventually taken care of.

just keep communicating with them, don't get belligerent, and provide as much info as possible.

One should honestly not have to spend more than 1 hour getting your account set up and rolling. Totally serious. It's completely unacceptable and insane to have to spend more than an hour getting your account set back up and restarted.

You reap what you sow

Their current reputation was earned. If you deliver shoddy sub par work time after time then it's perfectly understandable that people will take anything you say with a pinch of salt.

If they want people to have faith then it's time to start delivering on time and more importantly to certain quality standards.

I'll also stick my neck out and say if the devs were of a certain caliber then they wouldn't be working for a two bit company on a backwater game.

The way I see, It got to the point that is really out of Control (The Acc Mgmt).
I love the old fashion way, You could enter the acc. name, change all info, change the secret word, transfer the acc to someone and so on.

Nowadays you have a 3 way system that is total out of control, You have Origin, Mythic (Broadsword) and EA to take all the money and one system dont like the other, each one of them have their own "security" and if you get 1 single letter wrong, you are doom...

Than you rely on the support, but the support "team" probably receive 1000 emails a day, so I will say 50% they dont even respond, than become the frustration and Than Mesanna get involved and ask everybody to email her about...so than we have 1 person doing all, Production, Meeting, Creation, Resolving problems...

My point is, We are all waiting for this "New Website Mid May" and hope that by having this Done and WORKING" , I can imagine 1/2 of their problems people will be able to resolve on 1 single website!!. Trust me, I know better than anyone here, I have over 50+ accounts and I know that requires a Legendary Patience to work with the support!, but I can really say, for the amount of UO Players that probably send them emails everyday and for the amount of actual Staff, I guess they are trying!!!

I've noticed today they http://search.uo.com/ hasn't been updating for almost a month now. Maybe they are working on it all now?
I hit your link and it took me to MYUO. I assume that is what you were referring to. I emailed Mesanna about that roughly 2 weeks ago. It took about a week, but it is now working for my "home" shard. You might email her about yours. Just a thought.

MYUO is updated. I just moved shards and yes, am showing up on the new shard.

I hit your link and it took me to MYUO. I assume that is what you were referring to. I emailed Mesanna about that roughly 2 weeks ago. It took about a week, but it is now working for my "home" shard. You might email her about yours. Just a thought.
Does anyone have an email for Mesanna?

Hi guys, I'm trying to reactivate one or some of my old UO accounts. How can I link them to the EA Mythic?

What will happen if I forgot my master account name and password that I think I made it months ago?

Whom can I contact to? This EA Mythic systems is just so hideous. While others trying to simplify the procedures, these guys are thinking the other way around.
