How to transfer an uo account safely?

Hello guys, I am buying one account off a friend.

How should we transfer the account officially? so I can use my email with the account...

Transfer of accounts is prohibited by the TOS (at least that's my understanding).

They have long since done away with this option.

Pretty sure you can still call Broadsword and have an account unlinked, from there you can do with it whatever you like. No clue what these other people are talking about .
