We have shovels that can dig for quality granite and ore and the option to mine for gems and ore and for just ore.
I would like a skinning knife with some options on it.

For example I just want the hides and scales from a dragon. I do not want the blood or meat *boom* context menu, select your preference! * Sha Za * its done. Come on you know you want it.

The harvester blade is nice but....

I'd like the ability to ONLY mine for granite, since its difficult to get in any decent quantity through legitimate means.

you might have to try a few times, but you'll get a blast out of the results when it fires.

On one hand the small pieces of blackrock are a pain cause they can be difficult to locate in a backpack. They do sell, however, at least on Siege. I threw a whole backpack of them on my vendor the other day and they were gone in hours at 200gp/per. I invented that price..I don't know if they are worth more or less than that.

Small blackrock can be used for crafting Exodus keys--it's just really annoying to end up with a backpack full of it when you don't want it since the pieces don't stack and end up all over your bag (and are hard to see in the CC). Making them stackable would be a good solution too.

10 clean up points is nice. But if they stacked that would make a big difference. Plus if you throw them on the ground they don't decay. They'll stay there for years. I think someone was annoyed at the players when they coded these.

They don't decay because in UO lore blackrock is supposed to be completely indestructible and can never be completely destroyed. Unless someone throws it in a trash can for 10 cleanup points apparently

We need Rudyom's Wand to make blackrock go 'splodey!

You could strategically lay them out and then make them go boom with the wand, doing moderate AoE chaos damage. Or, to make them act in accordance with Ultima prime, they could block the flow of ether, potentially allowing the creation of temporary magic-free zones...

As long as this thread is about shovels, I have a mining/bod question. Sometimes I get gargoyle pickaxes as bod rewards when I'm trying to get something else....maybe POF or a prospector tool...I forget.

I don't use them as my miner is incapable of killing elementals. I've watched my dragons blast away at shadow els for long periods to get gains. Are the gargoyle axes sellable on any shards or are they throwaways?
