Amazing how they introduce a system that needs to be manually added to every time they add something to the game. I bought this up ages ago when other items from previous gift giving didn't automatically get 'scanned' when the thing updates. Madness and seriously poor design. If they are gonna put in a system that needs items manually added then they need to have a 'checklist' each and every time they put in something new with a box to tick that says 'added to the vendor search data base' "check" otherwise we will have this conversation each and every time something new is put in game.
Can the new plants be found in vendor search if you enter a description of something like "potted plant" when you put the item in your vendor's backpack to sell it? I know you shouldn't have to do that, but maybe it would help people find them for now.
I was thinking about pancakes about this cause it happens every time they add a new item. I've fought this battle every time in the past, but got distracted this time. If you email Mesanna she'll get it done, I don't think they follow the boards real close.
That has worked in the past. Don't understand why it wouldn't work now.
i made a post about this previously. i find it unacceptable that new items arent added to the search database BEFORE the patch goes live. its just laziness and unprofessional practice simple as that.

Well that might be slightly harsh, if it wasn't for the fact we've gone through this with every new item for the last 5 or 6 cycles of new items being added that I know of lol
Just had a chance to check it myself on Atlantic and it didn't seem to work for me either.
I filed a bug report.

Probably with the next publish. Why they don't add them to the vendor search database when they first release them is beyond me.
I dont know if this helps but I noticed when you purchase a potted plant from a vendor, in the system message it says "you purchase orchid with the gold held in your bank account" for small plants and "you purchase crown of thorns with gold in your bank account" for the large plants.

it still doesn't work.
I just had a weird thing happen when I logged in on Atlantic and then on Sonoma. I was getting "unused tile" artwork for the coffee plants, the coffee pods, and the Easter potted plants. Restarted the client and checked again and everything was visible again as it should be. So maybe someone made an on-the-fly fix for these things this morning?

People are saying "Potted Plants" are showing up in VS now. I haven't tried yet tho
Vendor search only finds the new plants if the seller includes the description "Potted Plants".
