That game had some bugs - like the extreme difficulty of jumping from rock to rock to get over a stream you had to cross, and placing reagents just exactly so on the ground to make a spell work - but it had some atmosphere, to be sure

Ha ha, that's hilarious - and I actually played that game - I think they improved some of the targeting problems with a patch, if I remember correctly.

Yep, the patch made the platforming sections much better and automatic too, from what I remember.
But who the heck thought that having platforming sections on an isometric RPG was a good idea?

Oh, come now UO is somehow less of a waste of time than Ultima 6, 7, 8, Ultima Underworld I and II, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights I and II, Planescape Torment, Might and Magic 6-8, Morrowind, Skyrim, Witcher I and II? I played and loved them all.

Ultimas 6, Underworld 1, 7, Underworld 2, & 7.5 are awesome games, but Ultimas 8 & 9 should be retconned out of existence.
