I am sorry but I just went and looked at the new hunters guide and who ever is designing this has destroyed the hunters guide. I am damn glad that UOGuide is still being maintained. Sorry UOStratics was ever sold. The Forums will be the only thing I use on this site anymore.

I guarantee you that each of the people building it spend multiple hours per day updating/fixing/improving it. If you have any suggestions on how to make it better, please post them here and I will make sure the people in charge of building it see your suggestions.

Make it a wiki so anyone can edit it when there are update..... or just a redirect link to uoguide.com would work too.

The problem is the old hunters guide wasnt updated and missing vast amounts of information before the sale....I returned to regularly reading stratics8-9 months ago when I returned to UO from a 6 year hiatus. The information on this site is nothing like it use to be. So much incorrect and inaccurate information....it is just sad for those who remember how wonderful this site use to be.

I am one of the staffers assisting in transitioning the information. I will not complain, but I will say it is A LOT of work. It takes ruffly 10-15 minutes or longer to copy ONE guide over. And that is if everything goes smooth. The old database has been neglected and out dated for many years, so some of us are running around trying to collect current data and pictures of the monsters. For example the paroxymous swamp dragon, and rising colossus were not in the old hunters guide. I added those myself, including other things that were not in there. I am not seeking for any praise for the work I am doing, but rest assured we are doing what we can to not only save old data, but to add new data that has never been added. We don't get anything for doing this at all. We take time away from our day and lives for this cause.

I am not sure why a change of the name or a new format is making people foam at the mouth. How can you ignore that fact we are trying to also update it with current information? I am one that doesn't particularly like change either. but sometimes change is good. Please have a little more respect for those of us who are volunteering hours of our day, unpaid, in the spirit of preserving and updating the vast history of Ultima Online. We are always seeking new ideas and fresh volunteers. If you would like to do more to help the cause please message @Kirthag for rewarding volunteer opportunities =)

Gigs when I returned and saw how bad the old hunters guide was I tried to get Tamers from the tamers forum to adopt the guide and we could get all the needed information updated. I never got a single response from the members I did get one from the administrator, claiming all the information was correct and what examples of what was wrong. Basically anything from Mordains Legacy expansion is lacking or completely wrong...I mean pictures...slayers...resists ,...HP sooo much of the information is in serious need of updating. I know what a monumental task it is. If you need a hand....send me a msg!

Be careful what you wish for, I might take you up on that lol. I am keeping a note pad of some old information that I can't update off the top of my head. When we are getting closer to the end I might ask for some players to assist me with some current data or images that I'm unable to get. There is still a long road ahead but we are getting there!

I am not quite sure where you read that in my statements. I certainly didn't say anything negative to or about old staff or prior members. I was speaking for stratics volunteers as a whole, past and present. I am trying to make a difference, as several others have before me. And the fact that the old hunter guide is outdated can't really be argued. If you feel neglected for recognition of your past efforts, or you feel that I am boasting I am sorry. I was speaking to the community regarding my (and others) current work. It would feel a little out of place in the conversation for me to reflect on years prior, much of which I have no knowledge of. Whatever resentment or hostilities you have...... I really don't think I have anything to do with them. And again, I didn't mean any offence.

I have and will continue to make sure that credit is given where it is due Mag. You are a legend of these forums, and your opinion means very much to me, however there is nothing accusatory, malicious or backhanded about any former contributers or their contributions in Giggles' post. There was nothing in her words which has discounted the invaluable work you all have done. She has taken her position here very seriously and professionally, and her contributions here come from the heart.

The basis of editorial professionalism, and a cornerstone of what Stratics is, is to preserve what we have, present clear and accurate information, and to ensure credit is given where it is due while verifying sources. That is something that I - as a professional - take very seriously and have been instilling in other volunteers since I returned to Stratics in a voluntary, professional capacity in 2012. It is something every current volunteer at Stratics pays very keen attention to.
