What if UO were accessible through the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles? You can surf the internet on both. I think this would be a HUGE booster to UO and could theoretically revive UO.
I don't know what implementation would entail, cost, or the feasibility. I do think it could be beneficial to UO. However I'm putting it to a vote, what do you think?

I know how Xbox or Playstation could handle all the hot keys we use in UO - an Xbox connected to a keyboard? Not to mention all the typing when do in chat while playing

I've been saying UO should be modified to run on gaming consoles for quite some time. As for hot keys or chat, use speech recognition. If an android can convert speech to a text then I'm sure something can be engineered to work for UO. It can't be any worse than "i pwned joo".

X box would definitely be able to handle it, but getting a PC Emulator on a ps4 system..... Doubtful when they haven't even coded a ps3 emulator for it

Too had Sony pulled that stunt with they stopped letting first Gen PS3's have Linux on them.. UO runs pretty well under Linux.

As long as EA insist on keeping the archaic monthly subscription for this game then you could launch UO on every gaming platform in the world and it wouldnt make a noticable difference. People wont pay the monthly fee for a 17 year old game with 17 year old graphics, which is run on a shoestring budget with little or no discernable customer service.

Go F2P and launch UO on XBox or PS and youd have to open new servers to cope with the player numbers.

i think Any extra ways of bringin folks to uo would be a great thing I gotta vote yea ofc u would have to use a mouse an keyboard or would just not be fun. shouldn't be too hard since most consoles use usb anyways to make that possible

I would love to have this on X-Box One. Keyboard & mouse shouldn't be a problem.

The real question is... do developers have the resources to do this? Not just in adapting the game to be compatible with the console, but I imagine there must be some copyrights/fees paid to Microsoft upfront to get a game on there. Could be a barrier to entry for a game with small budget, but I know there are other indie games out there that probably have a smaller fan base and smaller budget that are available.

Maybe have some type of special trial account for Xbox users?

GW2 has an app challenge going on atm and the teaser video of the last app in the video one made keyboard and mouse inputs with a game controller. Now this is just a game controller not the Xbox or PS system.

PS4 supports KB/M I think, developers just have to choose to include support in their games. Final Fantasy 14 works with them. Xbox One I'm not sure on but I assume it does too.

I don't see this working for UO though, because of the sub fee.
