How to get Power Scrolls?

I am playing on Sonoma and can't find the power scrolls I need to save my soul. I don't have any toons that can solo champ spawns so I'm trying to figure out what to do.

I've recently created a new ABC Archer and I'm really having fun with it so far but I know I will need those power scrolls to get my skill levels up high enough to fight the big baddies that are worth fighting.

Any suggestions or tips would be most appreciated!!!

I was able to solo.most spawn using a sampire and proper slayer weapons. Baracoon is the quickest and easiest. Despise.

You can pretty much solo it using a samp or a necro mage.. Or tamer. Some take a bit longer then others. I would suggest getting aother friend..it just goes that much quicker.

You.can also bind scrolls to higher level over time so you can end up with more 15 and 20...

Also taking someone that is knight of justice virtue to protect your main you get twice the scrolls.

With an ABC archer you should be able to manage solo'ing baracoon or rikktor spawns, even with all skills at 105, instead of 120. It might take you 70 minutes instead of 32 (my personal best for 'coon) - but I believe it to still be doable with a little practice.

Binding scrolls ... OOF. That's a long slow journey. It makes sense to do if you've got 100s of 110s and 115s laying around... but not so much if you're just starting out - you're likely to have to do 100s of spawns to get enough loose 110s and 115s to make even 1 or 2 120s by binding.

I believe Sonoma is pretty empty - so if you could find someone who is a Knight of Virtue to help you with spawns, you could probably find someone willing to sell you some scrolls on the cheap. By this same logic, you could simply find someone to do the spawn with you, but then if you end up pairing with someone who can solo the spawn, you're likely to only get 1-2 scrolls because that person will deal the majority of damage.

Another option would be to post in the traders hall forum and see if there's someone with some scrolls on Sonoma that are squirrelled away in a house, and not on a vendor...

UO sure isn't the game it used to be but I'm just not ready to give it up, lol.

Have you asked in general chat? I know there are several people here on Sonoma that have PS for sale. Just keep trying. I play at odd hours also but always someone around it seems except middle of the night in the US and even then some folks are around.

If Sonoma is dead enough to not see anyone for up to 2 weeks...it may be very difficult to get what you need. I had the same issue as Legends was on the decline. I took my main to a more populated server (not atl) and started with a new crowd, and simply had that guild transfer shield items back to Legends as I got them, thus fulfilling the scrolls/items/gold/etc. that I needed on Legends to function.

If your char is still in the 60's...I'd simply create that same type of char on a different shard. You'd get the items you need plus support to do the spawns you want and w/e else you may need help with.

Hit me or someone else up in PM if that's a thought you may have. Most larger guilds have vets that shard hop to help the guild out and can get your Sonoma items to a different shard if you go that route. I'd just hate to see someone leave cuz they don't get the support they want/need on a less-populated shard.

OK, dumb question. How do you use general chat? That didn't exist when I was playing before, there was only guild and party chat.

I have thought about going back to great lakes. That was my home server before I moved to play with friends on sonoma who have since left the game. It would be nice to have some folks to play with but I have kind of gotten used to doing the solo thing so I guess I'll have to play it by ear.

Is there a server you guys would recommend?

In the old client , should initiate gen chat - you have to make sure you join the channel first via the chat gump.

In the ec, again you join the channel, but then you access it with /c before you type

As far as a shard to recommend, I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I mainly play on Catskills, which has a good mixture of everything. There's several guilds that RP if you're into that (not me ). Pvp is starting to come back pretty quickly (up to 4 main guilds now that pvp). There's several guilds with 100+ members that do spawns, peerlesses, bosses, etc. if you like the pvm factor, with several chars that can solo (they can help give tips as to bettering your solo chars). Also, most large guilds have several people that xfer to different shards weekly to take items to other shards, buy items on shards, and xfer back (an easy way to start fresh on a new shard and still bring all your gear with you without paying xfer token prices).

I advise making a Necro Thrower, and you don't need to be over 100 to get scrolls, otherwise... no one would have scrolls.

To access chat, like they say, make sure to join the General channel.
In CC type a comma , before you speak each tme.
In EC I choose Legacy Chat from the user settings and then it's the same, join General channel, type comma , to chat in general.

I have not seen you in Sonoma chat yet.

What 110s do you need? I'll take a trip to Sonoma and drop them off. PM me. That should help get you started until you can start completing spawns.

My best advice is to find 3-4 friends and start spawning! You'll find the scrolls rack up pretty quick when you can knock the time down to about 20 min per spawn, and even quicker if one of the characters can become a Knight of Justice from killing reds.

They didn't have a general chat when I stopped playing before so I didn't even know there was one. I will try and figure out how to use it today.

As far as scrolls, I'm looking for archery, tactics, chivalry, bushido, healing, and anatomy. That's my template as it sits now. I've never played an abc archer before so I don't know how will it will do against the big monsters in pvm. So far, the biggest thing I've tried is cyclopeion warriors and nothing with magery yet.

I tried soloing champ spawns with my tamer but I just can't kill the spawn of fast enough. I got one pink scroll and that was it. I wasn't even able to get the spawn past ther first level. They were just spread too far apart to keep up the pace.
