Curious how sampires deal with raids. Of course just as I popped Semidar last night I get five on oned by Hi-5. Obviously dirt nap. 5 on 1 usually isn't the case and the chances for most anyone surviving that is low. With no healing do u just pot and run. I unsuccessfully ran. Do peeps in these guilds just stealth around all the champ spawns then call in the cavalry? Everyone running vent? Just curious.

I've been raided maybe one time in the last 20 champs I've done. Maybe the trick is to play at off hours, or on an empty shard.

Well, the peeps usually have one guy stealth check it time to time to signal the rest of them. Champ spawn isn't a quick task, so they have a significant chance to spot you. Playing at off hours... Iunno, but in large guilds there are people from different time regions that can check the most popular spawns every once in awhile. The best bet is to have your cartel stealthing around to kill the ambushers and loot their corpses.

That guild runs characters that just sit at spawns hidden in wraith form. They don't manually check anything.

It's silly , to me, that a game as old as this is still held captive to a few guilds tactics. An entire part of the game is inaccessible to new players and even established solo players looking to challenge themselves. I understand the need and want to make fel attractive, but you have to ask is the risk and time investment even worth it? Pvp is awesome but the risk vs reward is just bleh , and the only real option is to leave alt to a less populated shard to hunt without worry. It would be one thing if people actively had to check and explore, work for their kill, instead of using ghost cams or hidden wraith bots etc.

I just carry a wakizashi on my sampire. Most of the time the people doing the raiding will out number you. I'll try and slow them down with frenzied whirlwind and try and make an exit. If its just one person I will fight them but sampires aren't idea for PvP situations.

how do you fight them without healing? you still need to get near them to hit and then hope that you dont miss them...

also iam not aware how frenzied ww is slowing people, would u mind to share your tactic?

As a sampire, feel free to carry cure/heal pots and 1H weapons, and to use confidence to heal. Also, feel free to use curse weapon. Even though you might not hit hard, when you do hit, you'll recoup 70% damage dealt as HP.

There are also those healing drinks that can be stolen from monsters in Fel if you've >100 stealing. I think they have a somewhat long cool down, but maybe it keeps you alive long enough to flee.

You could also look into moving away from basic sampire template to a bushido paladin template that will give you healing via close wounds for 40 at a pop at 6 mana.

One on one I have enough confidence to at least buy a little time. I used to carry confusion blast which can let you get away. When attacked by just one I find they are more surprised to have a sampire fight back and it catches them off guard sometimes. I have a double bladed splintering with hit FB and a double tap strike with that if FB procs can put someone on the run. I carry long and short spears and a double bladed staff all splintering with hit spell. Between confidence double tap and an AI you can do some damage but you can't really take much damage. If rng rolls in your favor double tap or AI /mortal strike can be pretty damaging.

What shards on the east coast do you suggest to farm champs? I ping best to legends and catskills but I don't know how populated they are.

So I mainly do the Despise champ. If I see a possible PK come charging in I will do the following:

Equip my 2nd set of jewels. These have EP and +20 necro on them. This boosts me up to 120 necro and I can pre-cast vengeful spirit ready to set on my target when they are in range. Most mages will dispel it pretty quickly but it normally gives me time to get in close and try and **** them with my wakizashi.

The wakizashi special moves are frenzied whirlwind and double strike. I will go for frenzied whirlwind first to slow them down, this way I can keep up with them and try to beat them down with a brightblade. This has splinter effect and also AI special move. I'm 120 weapon skill and 120 Tactics so hitting them is pretty easy most of the time. If they have parry it might take a few more goes.

For healing I use greater heal potions, confidence and then if I have time the chiv heal (but this is slow).

Most of the time it will be multiple raiders so sometimes its best to just leave the spawn and then I will go back on a more PvP capable character and ideally with some guild mates.

I also carry a trap box on my sampire to try and avoid being para ganked by mages.

I think people seriously over estimate the zerg guilds on each shard. Just spawn... sometimes you'll get raided sometimes you won't. I play Atlantic and get spawns off I do Despise and Destard, I get raided more when I do somewhere out of the way like Oasis.

As for spawning on a sampire and getting raided, you could make your sampire able to do them faster, for example I had a gargoyle setup that could use Vamp/Wraith/Swords/Throwing, so could WW the spawn, then Wraith AI spam the champ. Rikktor is especially easy like this but works anywhere really. Another tactic embrace honor and stand in the middle of spawn so they get targeted by everything, disarm them and generally be a pita. Use pots. Leave if you have to.

Funny, I seem to get raided more often in Lost lands than in Despise and Destard. Honoring is a great tactic definitely causes the less experienced player to flee if not get killed. On my archer I almost look forward to getting raided because he can hang in a 1 on on 1 and a two one with good results.
