not seeing it on Siege, what shard?
Only yesterday my whole UO froze up for about 10 seconds and then suddenly all shot back to life. It was only UO as team speak and other apps were still functioning as normal. I've also had lots of mini locks but I've just put this down to my internet connection.

East coast as well, weird... pinging in the 70s... not great but not terrible.
DJad, ya its like that the screen freezes and whatever I was attacking that was 10 steps away is now on top of me, not good when a level 6 chest pops with a couple ancient wyrms.

I pitched a pancake on the devs at Battlestar Galactica Online then realized my connection was loose on my cable box, I assume from moving it to dust. Felt pretty stupid that time. Jess sayin'

I am getting a 42 ping and just ran around for a few minutes on Chessy, in luna and new haven. no lag, no glitches. do a traceroute and see where its dropping.

I have collectibles and stuff no one is allowed to touch, lol. I'm completely mental about stuff. She'll move one of my dragons or something like 3 inches to the left to see how long it takes me to notice and put it back "where it should be". Some kinda OCD thing I guess. I've been very laggy and choppy for about a week now....thought it was just my internet being stupid again...guess not...good to know! Been tryin to farm things for my new vendor house and dying a LOT due to lag :/

Yep I'm near Philly, been pinging for about an hour now and have 16% packet loss to east coast shards. I'm pinging fine to Europa
Same here, I was fine when i was pinging today now packet loss....
Hmm. Because of that ruling where they can't put a throttle on people I would tend to believe this, but no one else has been complaining about it. I get 10-15 second lag spikes. a LOT.

I remember the first time I heard that noise when my Uncle (Who was an inventor for IBM) sent my mom a computer and got her hooked up... we stood about in awe.... somewhat like the first time some folk "saw" a television set I imagine. Was pretty cool. I remember it had some silly golf game on it. I used to enjoy playing that. Of course I also remember her computer had a 512MB hard drive or something like that ... it wasn't even a full gig.
Speaking of 1998 AOL alone still has like 2 1/2 million people with dial up I tried dial up at our cottage a few years back and it is not something I ever plan on doing again. I suppose in certain situations it would be ok, but I could go get a coffee waiting for a page to load.

Hehe. My first "gaming computer" was like 200 mhz with 3 one gig hard drives. Cost like $2500. That was some l33t equipment there you betcha!
My first computer had a tape drive and 48k RAM. My first HDD was a 1MB external drive.

8088 more than likely, i think the 8086 was the predecessor to the 8088 in like 76.My first desktop in 1991. I think it was a 8086. Note the 5 1/4" floppy drive.

The 8086 is from 1978 and the 8088 from 1979, but it could actually be an 80386 from 1985.
It was my daddys old computer and I think he got it in the mid 80's. It ran some version of MS-Dos and when going on the internet I vaguely remember something about typing KERMIT.
My first modem was a 2400 baud from Hayes and the next was a 28.800 from U.S. Robotics (featured in I, Robot).

Did an event on Great Lakes last night. Lag was bad when we all were in one confined space but overall I was impressed with how un-laggy I was. I even remarked that as soon as we got out of the little 10x10 area we were in I was moving around like a speed hacker on.. well on speed! Sorry, can't blame the game this time.
