Purifying Blood Elemental

I've never messed around in Blood Dungeon until tonight and had some trouble with the Purifying Blood Elementals in the succubus room, and I can't find out much about this creature online. It seems to have a power like a magnet for my mystic mage, sucking her back every time she tries to move away. I know some creatures teleport you to them, but this is like every single time - once targeted, I move away and bounce back every time. Is this how this thing normally works? If so, sounds only a dexxer could handle it?
PS - Yes, we on Stratics do occasionally post and answer questions about the actual game

The mystic mage is also a legendary bard. Are these purifying blood elementals supposed to have this power to keep pulling you back to themselves?

... obviously, yes! You're whatever legendary needs to have GOOD self defense when in melee distance ... *cough, cough* my full bard runs with a bokuto mage weapon while riding an armored swampy ... wait until you see a paragon or 3 of those bloods ;-)

Exactly - is it only an RC that does it? That sounds like a strange thing
EDIT: I'm guessing it would apply to any summons - that makes sense
