Warning for accounts reactivated with GTC during RTB

Your house may be in danger!!!

It is not the expiration date of these accounts, which counts for the house decay to start as I assumed wrongly, it is the original GTC application date.

No longer I appreciate the fact, that they attached the game time to the end of RTB, since this created not only confusion in context with the house hold on the accounts, but a huge lot of frustration with the mess caused by removing owners/coowners, dumping vendors, loosing the ability to unlock stuff even if you locked it even after you got coowned again ... It happened as just debated in the Pub 89 threads.

If Broadsword treats its multi account paying players that way, they deserve no longer payment.
I will now consider to demolish some homes and let the items go. Unlocking/relocking all is not an option with my limited time to play.

No, but if the payment during RTB is carried over fully after the RTB period, it is more than a little confusing, that the expiration of the account does not match the expiration of the house.
So instead of a small gift for paying customers this became a nightmare in context with the uncalled for changes to house security for coowners and friends.

This may be connected to a bizarre set of events we ran into last night ...

House used for some of our events, was set as public with the people running events as co-owners - the actual owning account is paid for by gametime, and sure enough it had expired and hit the timing for the house to begin - but only just begin - the decay cycle last night, which it duly did. The owner bought more gametime, applied it and reopened the account, BUT as soon as the house had hit the beginning of decay, the co-owner/friends list had been cleared and the house reset to private. Owner logged in, granted co-owner and friend status back to folks, reset the house to public - we began the event and 15 minutes or so in, everyone was kicked out of the house, it reverted to private again, and the access list cleared again...

After setting it back as it should be a second time, it seems - touch wood - to be working properly again. So far anyway ....

I was under the impression RTB was for "returning" players -hence the name 'Return to Britannia'. Are you a returning player? Or are you just another regular "paying" player trying to juggle houses for free?

doesnt it take time for game time to be applied? it sounds like the owner didnt wait long enough for the time to be applied. if the house was still in decay stage, what you explain is perfectly normal.

Not for free, paying all 120 days my 11.50 Euro per additional house (which sums up to 235 Euro for accounts I do not play, but only keep a house on various shards per year + extensions like SA or HS). On top of it I have subscribed 5 accounts permanently and one or two are activated by need.
RTB started, and during RTB these accounts where due for being reactivated to keep the house refreshed. There was the surprise gift, that Broadsword added the paid time after RTB. So I assumed the same would be valid for the houses attached to these accounts and planned to renew them around 90 days after the suspended email. It never came into my mind, that the houses would follow another time scheme, which is my fault at least partially. Never trust an unasked gift. But now with the stupid clearance of friends and coowners from access list I still can add at least the permanent accounts easily - but the release permissions for hundreds of containers, vet rewards, deeds and other lockdowns in each house are messed up.

And this is the point, where I can only say: Broadsword, if you don't want to give your multi account paying customers an acceptable base line I don't want to give you my money any more.
Proposals have been made enough: let the access list alone, clear it only if the house hits the In danger of collapsing state, give a warning to all friends/coowners ahead of the starting decay like the vendor countdown.
You ignored it and so woke up my sense to end this waste of money for mainly nostalgy. This decision will cost Broadsword annually about 300 Euro of income - alone from me.
There are more customers in Germany who will go the same way of account reduction due to this unasked for change.

Mesanna, this is alone your fault. If the intention is to scare players away - go on.

Farewell. I have no fun.

The game time was applied since unless it had been, he could not have logged in to reset the house info... ;) But it does take a little time for the housing database to synch wiith the accounts one, although that was not the problem - the house left the decay cycle about an hour or so later.

But it was far from 'normal', especially the total reset of private status 15 minutes after the place had been made public again, and thereset of the owner/co owner lists should not have happened....

i see, yes if the house sign was no longer in decay status that shouldnt have happened.

One correction: I just readded the coowners (friends where not possible, since they are not reachable very often) and found, that:
a) the accounts still seem to have the rights to retrieve items they locked down
b) the vendors are still alive with non expired contract.

But there is still the fact, that other persons are divided from their stuff stored in a decaying house with the first sign of decay, starting with house teleporters and other vet rewards, which are house only and make sense to be used in another persons home.

Perhaps the "private" timer should be changed to activate not when the house goes into decay but at Greatly Worn?

This exact same issue came up last October when the last RtB was active. There were several threads here about the PAID game time being added to the account AFTER the RtB time.

Activating an account with a decaying or due to decay house would not reset the timer during the RtB period. I have to say there were at least two - four threads about this. It's not a new issue.

they implemented to going private at decay stage to try combat the 90 day house juggle...well there are 2 types of house juggle to be fair

1. the 90 day im keeping this house or houses but only wanna pay 4x a year for it....ie i can have 3 houses on 3 accounts but in reality pay only 12 months everyone freinded/co-owned to each house to catch the decay stage etc etc...dangerous but very popular!!!- well this should not effect these people as they will catch decay although they lose freinds/co-owner link they can refresh and then re-do....so no hassle here

2. the 90 day im letting the house fall but gonna use it a storage shed un till then- houses placed on end of a account b4 it closes- may as well make use of it!!....and why not ive had a several of these myself...were u can freind /co-own up then simply sift through the shed storage when it goes into decay...well this is no longer the case....if u miss the time b4 decay then because the owner is long gone[90 days ago] friends and co-owners can no longer retrive goodies stashed for the free storage....

i like the change....albeit i tend to use the 2nd myself but hell!! ksara....[whatever]

And you leave alone the original regular intention of coowners and friends - the ability to access or lock down stuff in a house, which does not belong to them, be it a guild house, a vendor house or a teleport hub, to name some examples. These are now damned to lose their very own stuff, if they can't get in touch with the owner in time and the owner himself is missing to refresh by whatever reason.

I have a database I carefully monitor my accounts with. The accounts that went inactive in the middle of RTB (meaning while RTB was going on, their subscription ended and I was not able to play them despite RTB going on), these accounts got a bit of time added onto them before they had to be refreshed. It was 2 weeks or so later than when I expected to refresh them. The accounts that I applied gametimes to in the middle of RTB all just cam active and were refreshed right when I expected them to need refreshing.
